The rep was punctual and when we walked outside to explain the job they took notes. On the day of service they were on time and the boss stayed and got the crew started. They explained everything to us and were clearly in touch w the crew throughout The job. . They cleaned up well afterwards and were professional. They called us to make sure that we were completely satisfied. We would hire them again!!

Fantastic job. They painted our main level SF home and upstairs hallway. Removed wallpaper and wainscoting in bathroom, removed frieze molding and sand grit in foyer on some walls and it looks flawless. Their drywall work is really good. Very clean painting lines. Overall great job. Will use again.

"This is a small two bedroom house that was vacant for several years that I am fixing up for my daughter. The agreement was for them to prep and paint walls and woodwork. They patched several holes in one bedroom and were supposed to fix nail pops by putting a screw next to them. To make a long story short, they did the patching, but did not do any other prep work other than a general sanding to scuff the existing paint with a sanding block on a pole. There are dozens of nail pops and dents and imperfections in the walls, including bad previous patch jobs where patch material was built up above the wall surface. None of these were addressed. They painted over all of these locations without preparation. In general, the paint looked good, but at certain times of the day in different lighting conditions, all of the imperfections are noticeable. Before the job started I told Craig Punte (owner of Donovan's) I wanted nail pops addressed by putting a screw next to them. He told me that was only necessary on ceilings. This is not true. Any honest, experienced painter will tell you that. If the nail came loose once, it will come loose easier the second time. I told him that is what I wanted and that I would pay extra. None were fixed, including ones where you could see the head of the nail sticking out, not just pushing out. After two days when I went back and looked closer at the completed job, I called him to come look at it. I told him the nail pops weren't fixed and he told me the same thing again about not having to fix them on the walls. They not only didn't put a screw in next to them like agreed, but they didn't even hammer them back in. They just painted over them. I pointed out many of the other dents and dings and on one wall where there were only three places, he told me he thought the drywall needed to be replaced. This is after he agreed to prep and paint all the walls, costing me thousands of dollars. When I first started pointing out the defects using a light, he asked me why I was using a light and told me people don't walk around with a light when they come to a house. In talking about a couple of places that could be fixed by sanding, he told me you can't sand paint. I have sanded paint many times to fix wall blemishes. He also told me that when they finish a wall it looks like new painted drywall. When asked why they painted over previous bad patch jobs, he said that those areas were done like that when the house was new. Finally, he told me he would give me two men for two hours and I agreed, but after thinking about it for a few minutes I decided I didn't want somebody working on the house who didn't do it right the first time, so I told him I would rather do it myself, to which he happily agreed. One other thing, before the job, he pushed for me to buy the best and most expensive Sherwin Williams paint which I believe they call super paint. He said it hides imperfections better. Now I understand why he likes to use
