Dougherty did a FANTASTIC JOB - turning a cold, lifeless cement basement into what is now the most popular room in our house. Gerry will act as project manager, he put together both a budget (which was met) and a timeline (which was followed precisely) finishing the project both on schedule and at budget. Sean, his son, did an excellent job putting the project in motion/coordinating with the building team and dealing with my daily questions and tweaks - using high quality materials and craftsmanship. For example they built beautiful custom shelving underneath our steps straight out of a magazine picture we showed them, no questions asked. The materials they used were above standard "builder grade", leaving the basement with an extra nice finish and feel. One of the most important parts of the project was making sure my family was comfortable with the workers who would be there day after day for 3 months - and Dougherty did an excellent job not waking children or inconveniencing them in any way. You get what you pay for, and Dougherty delivered an A+ result. I would absolutely and wholeheartedly recommend them for your next building project.

Gerry, Sean, and crew are wonderful to work with! They are always on time, considerate, and clean up at the end of each work day...very easy to have in your home. Their work was great and they strive to perform every aspect correctly. Dougherty Construction provides QUALITY workmanship. We love our new basement.

Gerry, his son Sean and crew remodeled our kitchen a few years ago and recently upgraded our living room. Gerry is easy to work up front with the initial consultation and with delivering an estimate. Sean led the crew on our jobs for the most part and exhibits great attention to detail which extends to his crew. It is easy to see why Gerry trusts him in this role. The jobs which are contracted out (ex: carpeting, painting, etc.) are performed by people Gerry would trust working in his own home and who provide end results to his standards. If you aren't happy, Gerry will fix it. They are very approachable and accommodating. We are happy with Dougherty Construction and have no problem recommending them to our friends.

Great company to work with, very helpful & knowledgable on my project. Project is still in progress. They also clean up after everyday of work.

Gerry and his team were really a joy to work with. I don't have any experience with contractors and they have set the bar high. Co., pulled out a tub to put in a walk-in shower for my handicapped mother and also built a kitchen into her living area of our home.
