Do-well Painting

Angi called me and stated this guy had a 5 star rating. I had him to come out to my house, he gave me a quote of $750 to white wash my cabinets. I wanted the oak grain to show through so he said to white wash them and not to paint them. We hired him. He brought 2 guys with him. There was 3 guys in all. The whole time he was here he kept making comments about how he under bid the job. He even showed me how much he was paying his other 2 guys and said he would only make a profit of $70 if he got the job done in 2 days. The first day he stayed until about 8:00 at night. The second day he stayed until 4:30, which was a Thursdays and Friday. The cabinets looked good because they were wet. By Sunday our cabinets looked like we had someone smoking in here for 20 years. They are a dingy yellow. There are places that have been missed. He was saying how difficult to get the cabinets off, just complaint after complaint. So, we gave him an additional $450 because he stated he underbid, on top of he asked us to provide all the supplies, stain, paint everything he told us to get, we bought. I texted him on Wednesday the following week. He asked if there was a problem. I told him I'd prefer to talk about it on the phone. When we spoke I told him the cabinets were yellow. He said he'd never had that happen before and said he'd try to make it out the weekend. He did not show. He said he was up late with a job. It's been 2 weeks and he still has not come back.

Scott did a great job on the white wash stain on our cabinets and power qashing and painting our deck. He is a very nice guy and works hard and aims to please his client.

Scott is very friendly and attentive to details and genuinely wants to produce high quality work. He painted my front door and did some other caulking jobs outside and inside. Will use in future.
