Chuck was on time and did a great job with our two bathrooms. Before he was done, my sister in law saw his work and hired him to do a job for her. He was so accommodating. We will use him for all of our home improvement projects.

Bathroom Remodel
Unfortunately we hired Chuck to do a bathroom remodel that was completely beyond his capabilities. He was able to do a decent job on the demo but that is about where it ended. Luckily we stopped him before he did the tile work. The drywall work he did had to be fixed, the cement boards for the shower had to be torn out and redone, the plumbing for our tub had to be redone. The box for the light switches is completely un-level and needs to be fixed. We had water come pouring through our kitchen ceiling while he was working in the bathroom. He damaged the vanity we bought while trying to take it upstairs. He was nice and courteous but said he could do work that was beyond his scope.

Bathroom Remodel
One of the main reasons the bathroom needed to be updated is because it was becoming more difficult for me to step into the tub/shower area. I am 71 and I have a difficult time with lifting my legs and going up stairs. Chuck did remove the old tub and tile on the wall as agreed upon. He was supposed to replace the old shower head with a much better one than I was currently using. He bought Glacier Bay (a cheap product). He was supposed to replace the exhaust fan and make sure that it was vented out of the attic correctly. This was not done. I wanted a surround unit and no tile and that is what he put in, however the tub surround was not put together evenly. There is a wider gap between the panels in some places as opposed to other places. It wasn't very noticeable at first because the caulk and panels are both white. The glass doors he installed are nice but he didn't line them up properly and there is no guide on the bottom of the door track so they wobble when shutting. The handles to the shower doors are nice but were not lined up properly and looked as if he tried to force the bar to fit into the side holders. I was able to straighten them out but since the bar that you would hang a towel on or wash cloth inside the shower moves too freely you can't place a wash cloth on it because it will just spin off. We agreed that he would prep the walls for painting and I would paint myself. The walls were left so crappy that it took several hours of sanding before they could be painted. He charged me an extra $1500 for electrical work that he stated he had to do in the attic for the exhaust fan. Since I could not climb in the attic to see what he did I just took his word for it. He stated "your wiring in this house is horrible and needed a lot of fixing". It wasn't until my son-in-law came over to see what Chuck did for that extra money he charged me that I found out that he did not replace any electrical wiring nor did he vent the exhaust fan properly which was the reason that stated the whole project along with the tub. He was called several times about the problems and was not very nice on the phone. My ex-wife called him first and I was standing next to her when she called him. He was screaming at her on the phone to the point where she just hung up on him because he refused to have a normal conversation with her. She was involved with the project as much as possible and has spoken with Chuck several times in the past. A second and third call had to be made before he would even listen to any concerns. He dropped off the paint for the bathroom prior to the finished job and when the paint was opened 2 weeks later it was not even usable. It looked like it was frozen then thawed. It had clumps in it and was unusable. Again Chuck was called but refused to replace the paint. The issues were many and certainly not worth the amount he charged for the job. The job was supposed to take 3 days but lasted over 1 week with no other shower in the house. He did not have any helper so I did help him with bringing in the tub surround and other items. His work van (with all of his tools) was in the shop for repair so he borrowed tools that I had at the house. He stated that he was going to correct the problem with the exhaust fan not properly vented but I haven't heard from him in 2 months; I'm sure he has no intentions to fix what he was hired to fix the first time anytime in the future. I would never recommend him. Another gripe is the fact that he was so sloppy with the caulk that it took a few hours to get it off places that it should not have been on.

Bathroom Remodel
Chuck did a very good job on updating my half bath. He was on time and had no issues with having to run out and getting things he needed to finish the project I.e. going and getting a new toilet tank that keep leaking after the initial install. He is very friendly and willing to do what you want

He is a pretty decent worker with a wide range of skills. I have been satisifed with all the work he has done for me over the past couple years.
