I had cellulose blown into the walls and foam insulation sprayed on the attic ceiling beginning in late 2017 and continuing into April of 2018. The sales person was nice. The office manager was nice. The company's overall manager was nice. So were the workers. But their work was terrible beyond description. They missed huge and many sections of our walls in spite of having a wood frame balloon construction. The foam on the ceilings was all different depths, and in many places way too thin. They finally ended up, on maybe the 2nd or 3rd call-back, cutting holes into my interior walls because they couldn't somehow spray properly from outside (level ground, no trees or shrubs, no obstacles), and then at my outrage and insistence, they hired a sheetrocker to come to fix all the holes. It took many visits. And the insulation visits were so numerous I lost count. I had to keep calling them back because of the freezing exterior walls and wind coming in the electrical outlets. I had to insist that the sprayers clean up, and even had to help because cellulose was everywhere. I still have the frigid wind blowing through my electrical outlets. I have a back room that is unusable in the winter. And what really got me upset was that I was softly pressured to sign up on the day I had my home demonstration, being told that if I found another comparable company that offered the same services with comparable quality materials, for a lower price, that lower price would be honored by Dr. Energy Savers. I did, in fact, find 2 other companies that promised the same work AND MORE, with comparable, quality materials, but the substantially lower price was never honored. We went around and around and around about the price, and I finally had to give in or take them to court, which I was too exhausted to do. I paid almost $15,000 for a horrible, lengthy, unprofessional job carried out between Oct 2017 and April 2018. And I still bristle just thinking about how I was taken. My advice is if a company offers you a $400 discount for signing up on the spot on the day of the home demo, with promises of price matching, don't believe it. And only hire someone who has worked for someone you know well and comes well-recommended by them.

I received a very prompt response from this company and was very pleased with the gentleman who came out to assess my insulation needs. He spent a long time with me and answered all my questions. He gave me an estimate before leaving and exerted no pressure. The customer service rep followed up a few times and accommodated my scheduling preference. The work was done much faster than I had expected and every step was explained to me in detail. They even cleaned up before leaving!

Provided a comprehensive plan for making my home more comfortable and worked with me based on what I could afford to do now to get the most bang for my buck. The work was done in a fast and efficient manor, the house is noticeably more comfortable.

My project has not started and is scheduled for middle of May. My rating at this time is for the overall interest shown from the beginning. Examples, I was immediately contacted to set up an appointment to review my project. This lasted two hours going over everything from top to bottom. Included was what is called a blower door energy audit. Plus other devices used to show where much energy was being lost/wasted. A lot of effort and feedback was provided many situations were pointed out to me in order that the job be completed professionally.

The technicians were quite friendly and helpful when answering questions about each aspect of the job. I have every intention to request the very same gentlemen who did this job when my other two floors of my multi-dwelling are ready to take foam insulation.

I wanted sound reduction. The improvement may have been 10% when the salesman promised 85%. I am out over $3000 for the insulation, over $1000 for the ceiling to be fixed and an additional $110 to replace the smoke detectors that had to be replaced because of all the dust. So no, I am not happy.
Response from Dr. Energy Saver

The only thing is that we were sent someone else's certificate for the work completed. We would like our certificate.

Excellent quality, great service. The team, from sales to installers were fantastic, and the windows look great and are of terrific quality. They replaced 33 windows in 5 days, which was what they said they'd do.

the professionalism demonstrated from start to finish was unparalleled, Greg asked all the right questions and gave all the options which enabled me to make an informed decision. The installers endured the 140 degree heat in my attic and crawl space even though I would not have blamed them if they decided to come back on a cooler day. They said they were committed to see the job through no matter what and cleaned up as if they were never there. I have been in the construction business for 44 years as a carpenter and know good business practices when I see them. These guys are 5 * all day long!
