We hired Dave to do a kitchen and master bath remodel in our townhome. We had very specific ideas of what we wanted to do and had a specific budget in mind we wanted to do it in. Dave took our budget and was very upfront and honest about what we could and could not do and what the best use for our money would be. He helped us create a reno plan achieve the look we wanted within our budget. What we most enjoyed about Dave was that he was on site every day and did most of the work himself. There's definitely something to be said to know who is in your person and exactly who is doing the work each step of the way. Dave was very professional and communication was excellent. He did a great job staying on budget and within the original timeline. We are so happy with the work and would definitely hire him for another project in the future. Hired Drake a basement finishing. He is a true professional and provided a very detailed contract, timetable and had all the suppliers' deliveries carefully organized. He and his team do great work, use the best possible quality materials and he is very knowledgeable.

We hired Dave to replace an old block ceiling in our spare bedroom with new sheetrock and wood molding and trim to match the other ceilings in our house. He also patched the bedroom walls. In addition, he replaced the exterior plywood soffits on our home with vinyl and installed two vents. Dave was very easy to deal with, he started and finished the work when he said he would. He provided quality work that was priced fairly. Working with Dave was a good experience and we would highly recommend you hire Drake Building and Remodeling.

We interviewed and received bids from five Contractors for an addition and whole house roof and siding replacement. While not one of the lower priced bidders, and having the longest schedule duration of all five, we hired David based on written reviews, talking to his references, and primarily, because he would be on site daily. Our project quickly fell behind schedule and he had obvious difficulty with finances. Three weeks into the project he stated he regretted taking the project. Owner assisted by making partial payments for incomplete work , paying directly for materials , and providing cash advances. The project continued miss schedule combined with poor quality control of work, concealed errors, and scope identified in Contract was not performed. Roofing,masonry and tile subcontractors did not arrive as promised and David did the work himself. The site was kept in such disarray that even the neighbors approached him directly to clean up the eyesore, which he did not do. Did damage to interior and was told to not continue with work inside house. He eventually walked off project without completing work, or correcting deficiencies with installed work, claiming he wasn't paid.

Great to work with. We have used for a major addition plus kitchen remodel. We then used for a bathroom remodel and also a pool deck. Honest, very professional, fair and easy to communicate and work with. Would highly recommend.
