It was a good experience. Worked around my schedule.

He showed up without proper tools. Did not take the old fence post with him when he left. Also, everything he did was ala carte. Gal on the phone told me he would show with everything he needed to do the job. This was not true.

Dallas came and did the repair, he was very nice and professional. He was a very nice gentlemen.

The person who did my work was new according to the office manager, perhaps that was the problem. Did not come prepared for the job asked me for a bucket and sponge (grout work). Left the kitchen a mess. The keyless door latch he installed is crooked, I think I could have done it like that. Didn't read the instructions like he should have because he didn't seem to have done one before and caused himself extra work, which took longer which was more money for me. He then proceeded to charge me for an extra hour. I objected but he was firm. I decided I was not going to argue with him I wrote the check and called the secretary who turned out to be the office manager. She listened to me and said she would speak with the owner and see about getting a discount. Perfect. Next day I got off work and expected to have heard from the owner or office manager. Nothing. I called her number and again and she had blocked my number. That infuriated me. What a way to conduct business. I didn't have any other contact number so I put a stop payment on the check. Next day the owner sleazing me threatening text messages about applying a lien on my property if I did not pay him the full amount of the original check plus 35.00 NSF fee. I text him back I would love to speak with him and I called after I got home. I explained everything to him and he said well the office manager only told him the worker had left a dirty sink. In the end he agreed that I had been over charged but no real apology about anything else and no offer of a discounted rate for the shoddy work. I was very disappointed to say the least. Also they never answered the phone as Dreams Construction but always as Kings.

I’m not 100% sure if that’s the correct name or not of the company. They painted and have ruined 3 walls plus crown molding and baseboard. I filed a complaint with home advisors and am waiting for your help. The painter did a horrible job. It was only to paint one wall. Now I have a huge mess that needs repair and the company disappeared. Will not return my calls. I’m waiting for home advisors to contact me to correct the huge mess the painter did. I should hear from home advisors next week. Filed a complaint. I’ll never go with a handyman to do a paint job again. But the big companies didn’t want to do a small paint job. So I had to call a handyman company. The painter charged a $20 trip fee that was never mentioned plus would not give me a copy of the receipt when I paid. It was horrible. Hopefully home advisors will fix this problem.

The first man they sent worked 5 plus hours to put in a dog door. It was not pretty. The office called and asked what I thought and seeing that I was not pleased and in doubt if the worker was qualified to do he work, they sent another man and finally it was finished. They only charged me for three hours instead of five, so that was good. The door was $300. And the installation was $285. What a deal! I always try to find the good and have patience, but this time was trying. We made it through and the office made it as right as they could. I think the man was new and I just wish it had been a better experience.

a good company to work with

I was quoted in writing and via text message that the job would cost $199 (no exceptions were given). Upon arrival, the tech started working and never spoke of any additional charges. Once he finished the job, I was told there was an additional charge of $85/hour after the first two hours. Our job took 4 hours so we were charged an additional $170. I called the company to discuss it with someone and all they did was call the contractor and yell at him about not having me sign a contract before he started. So I had an angry workman at my home with me... completely awkward and inappropriate. I ALMOST would have just accepted this IF the job would have been completed, but my husband spent the rest of the weekend fixing the incompleted and shotty job (it was supposed to have been a surprise for him for his birthday). The company is refusing to work with me and threatening to put a lien on our house if we dont pay...and now the handyman himself keeps calling me. SO INAPPROPRIATE!!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! EDIT: The owner reached out to me after I posted this review to see what had happened. He was much nicer than the other staff I had been dealing with. He sent someone out that afternoon to look at the job and see if any additional work was needed and agreed to "split the difference" of the additional 2 hours that we were unaware we were going to be charged.

Great company! Very reasonable and responsive. Plannning to work with them in the future.
