"Thank you for your feedback. High quality and great customer service is our top priority. Your entire hard vent pipe was cleaned from the attic after the screen was removed from the roof vent. The reason we recommend replacing the slinky foil behind the dryer is because it is prone to collecting lint. The valleys that are in the foil do not allow for a free flow of lint and moisture. In addition to that, you cannot clean them with whips or brushes because they are also prone to ripping and tearing. We offered to replace that piece for you, however you did not want to pay for that service. In good faith, the technician left a more stringent, non-combustible DryerFlex transition piece with you, at no additional charge, along with the proper clamps so that when you did it yourself, you would have what you needed to complete the job. He did not have to do any of that, but did not want to leave you with a fire hazard behind the dryer. And since the intention was to replace that piece, cleaning it wasn’t really necessary. Even with the old piece still attached the back pressure reading went from extremely poor when he arrived, to extremely good once the cleaning was completed. Again we appreciate your feedback and apologize if there was any miscommunication."
