Duke Heating and Air Systems was contracted to repair my AC unit on August 1, 2025. They sent two technicians to my home in Trussville, AL (Kevin & Tommy) on August 5. Kevin checked my unit said I had a bad capacitor and he replaced it, however the air in my home never cooled off. I contacted them again via my Home Warranty vendor and they came back out and told me that my compressor had gone bad on August 7. The dispatcher Libby told me that they would have to order a new compressor and it would take 5 to 7 days. I contacted them on Friday August 22 and never received a response or call back. I called back on Monday and Tuesday August 25 and August 26 and the number was disconnected. The Home Warranty Company contacted them via phone and email and never received a response. In getting my compressor looked at by another company they found that Kevin did not replace my capacitor with a new one but with the previous old bad one. He lied to me to my face. PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!

Husband called on Labor Day and left message and when they opened at 8 a.m. they called. They were at our house by 10 a.m. and got the air fixed. Will use them again.

Horrible customer service. They did an awful job installing the unit in the attic and we had water leaking from the unit down the walls. Called to have them fix it and never showed up. We are still having issues a year after it was installed. They left a big opening in one of the ducts in the attic and all the air was just blowing back in the attic. My husband talked to another HVAC person and was told the opening is needed but not as big as they left it so it had to be partially sealed. Several other issues in addition to that. Would NOT recommend!

Several challenges presented as the project moved forward, but Duke's never checked up. They were professional in all aspects. This replacement came from out of nowhere but I plan on giving them first shot on an addition that I'm adding to my home. I would definitely recommend their services.
