I discovered a leak in my bathroom ceiling and Mr. Thaen Dunn, of Dunn Rite Handyman responded quickly. He found the source of the leak (the seal of a vent pipe on the roof had corroded and let water under the shingles) Mr. Dunn carefully covered the damaged area until it could be repaired. He repaired the bathroom ceiling, painted the bathroom and various other projects around my home. Thaen is honest, reliable and affordable. He takes pride in a job done well. He comes with my highest recommendation!

Bertram (Thaen) completed several projects for us. The following are just a few of those projects: drywall and underlayment repair, painting, toilet removal and installation, door handle replacement, bidet installation, shut off valve replacement in bathrooms and kitchen. Mr. Dunn faced a complex drywall repair since it first required him to increase the protection around the pipe that caused the leak and damage to the ceiling in our upstairs bathroom. He assessed the problem and repaired joint. He then turned his attention to the damaged ceiling, removing the area and squaring it off. He then constructed, installed, affixed and finally painted the drywall repair and the ceiling area surrounding the repair. Throughout this multi-day process, which required several trips for supplies as well as three days to insure the drywall was installed properly, his demeanor remained professional and his attitude positive. His pricing was fair and the invoicing accurately described the work. I will recommend him to others and, should we need services again, he will be the first person I call.

Thaen Dunn did some small jobs for us which were done in an efficient and excellent manner. He showed up when he said and took his time & was pleasant. Will definately recommend him. Will use him again!

We couldn’t be happier with the job Dunn Rite did on our front stoop in Midlothian! The wood was rotting and the paint peeling, but they replaced all the damaged wood, power washed, stained, and gave everything a fresh coat of paint. It looks like new and really boosted our curb appeal. Even with a short rain delay, they communicated clearly and always showed up on time. The team was friendly, professional, and truly cared about quality. We’ll definitely call them for our next project. Check out the before and after photos — the difference is amazing!

Husband and wife team stained my new deck. They were careful and hand painted the wood around the aluminum railings. I was also impressed that they intentionally came back to do a walk-through to make sure that I was happy with the work, and touched up areas that needed it. Their prices are fair and reasonable for the careful meticulous work that they do.

I was very impressed by the work done to stain my deck. This husband and wife team are meticulous in their work. They also powerwashed my house, installed a ceiling fan, and repaired a closet door. I will be using them for other projects in the future.

This is a husband-and-wife team with amazing skills in painting, flooring and general handyman work. They are true professionals, who did the work on time and for a reasonable price, which was quoted upfront. They have an eye for design, and came up with creative solutions to problems that were unique to our older condo. I would hire them again in a heartbeat!

I sought to upgrade my thermostat from programmable to smart (ecobee). I also wanted an upgrade to have the thermostat control stage 2 of my gas furnace. In about an hour, Dunn Rite got it all done right! Well done.

Thaen did an excellent job for me staining/sealing my decks. As with any project that is dependent on the weather, we had to adjust our scheduling as necessary. He communicated well with me throughout the process. He pays attention to the small details and did a good job of cleaning up when the work was completed.

Good communication. Showed up and did what he said he would do when he said he would do it. Seems like a decent guy. What else can you ask for.
