Dust Bunnies Cleaning Service

Love the dust bunnies! Used them for one time moving cleaning but ended up using them regularly for my home.

We were given a written estimate and contract for deep cleaning two and a half bathrooms and the kitchen. The key words here are "deep cleaning". The estimate was prepared after Dust Bunnies completed an onsite inspection of the areas to be cleaned. Upon completion of the bathrooms we were told the kitchen needed a "deep cleaning", which would have to be done on another day and would cost $80 more than the contracted price. I could understand the additional cost if they had not personally inspected our home before preparing the contract, but trying to renegotiate the price upward of more than 50% of the original contract price while the work was in process was unacceptable. When my wife tried to hold Dust Bunnies to the original contract she was told Dust Bunnies would not honor the conracted price and would not complete the kitchen cleaning unless they were paid the additional $80. At that point we decided to cut our losses and not use Dust Bunnies for any further cleaning. My wife has emails and/or text messages plus the contract to document all of this.

I typically do not write reviews, good or poor however, what this company did to my floors has me so upset, I thought long and hard about posting this and hope that this does not happen to anyone else. This company ruined my dark hardwood floors by trying new product (after knowing that I only used Bona hardwood floor cleaner). The floors now have some sort of hazy film that will not come off. The owner came back free of charge to try and fix them once and it did not work. Then after donating the time, wanted to charge me to get them fixed back to the condition they were in prior to hiring this company. They ruined my floors, now I should have to pay to fix them? No. I stopped using them and now I have to deal with hazy floors or pay to get them refinished. .... All because they did not use what I asked them to use. Am I wrong? Additionally, attention to detail started to relax which I noticed in the bathrooms.

We were not pleased with this companies initial "deep clean" and have elected to discontinue any future cleaning. Upon entry to the home we noticed that all trash collected during the cleaning was left in the garage. Collection and removal of the trash was discussed during the initial walk-through. All trash should have been removed and placed in the bins outside of the home. When entering the kitchen, I immediately noticed the floor was poorly mopped. Visible stains and spills remained on the floor. They did a great job cleaning the oven, but the time spent on the oven prevented the team from cleaning other key areas. The microwave was not cleaned and stains still exist on the surface of the cabinets. I'm assuming the floor was mopped but it was poorly swept. Cereal was on the floor of the pantry; which means that area was not swept or mopped. The hardwood floors throughout the home looked good, but the same attention to detail was not applied to the steps leading upstairs and down to the basement. The basement was fairly satisfactorily cleaned. The upstairs bedrooms appeared to be rushed. The floors were vacuumed but the beds were left as is. I was not expecting the beds to be turned down, but a basic straighten of the beds would have been a better look. Bathrooms... My experience has been that the bathrooms were the shining star of initial/deep cleanings provided by previous cleaning services. I grade the bathroom cleaning throughout the house a C-. Again, no due diligence was done when cleaning the floors. When servicing a county of homes that produce water from wells, I expected the use of products that would have been applied to remove iron deposits from the toilet bowls, walls and fixture. These stains appeared in all bathrooms. Specifically, the master bathroom shower still has white residue on the floor, walls and ceiling. Home office: No furniture polish applied to desk or any other surfaces in that space. The trash was removed, but the trash liner was not replaced. The critiques above covers what's included in a basic cleaning. I did not include the additional areas that lacked attention. Inconsistent dusting, window seals, exterior door wipe down, etc. Unfortunately, due to the poor quality of service provided and the numerous infractions, there is no way I'd even consider requesting this company to return to correct these items. I paid the invoice for this service and termination fees for cancelling the contract agreement. $750+ later... We learned a VERY valuable lesson. Only work with companies willing to provide an introductory cleaning service PRIOR to signing a contract.

Dust Bunnies is the best! I hired them to clean my grandma’s house while she was in the hospital. They came in and worked their magic and made her house sparkle like it hasn’t in years. They worked with me on the time frame as well as what needed to be done! My grandma came home and was thrilled to be back home to a clean fresh home. The owner Crystal was so friendly and helpful and her crew worked so hard and was very professional. If you are looking for an amazing team to clean your home definitely call Dust Bunnies!

Why? #1 CUSTOMER SERVICE + They walked through my house and asked great questions to ensure they understood my requirements. + They were quick in providing a very reasonable quote (within 24 hours). My home is large (three stories and over 6000 square feet). They were not the cheapest. I looked for value (quality and cost in that order) + They were flexible in scheduling. And, the same people that did my initial walk through were part of the cleaning crew (which I appreciated so that we were on the same page from the beginning) SUPER HIGH QUALITY CLEANING + Their quality and attention to detail in my home has been superb. They used bio-friendly products, asked for and adjusted to my tastes and what is important to me while ensuring they maintain their high standards in cleaning. They noticed things I didn't (e.g., cobwebs in high ceiling corners). They tackled 5'x8' windows that had Sharpe window paint pen drawings on them! They organized my laundry room, dusted ceiling fans, etc. + They were thorough and hard working the entire time they were in my home. + Their initial deep clean was exceptional. They stayed until the job was done which was over a 12 hour day and a crew of 2-4 people throughout the day. Although they stuck to their very reasonable quote, I knew the job was bigger and paid them what I felt was fair. They were agreeable to that which I appreciated. This brings me to the next point: THEY CARE ABOUT ESTABLISHING RELATIONSHIP + They have been super nice, polite and willing to get to know me and my family (and vice versa). They have not taken lightly the fact that it is important to establish trust as it means a lot to bring people into my home. They have demonstrated they are trustworthy. Pleasantly willing to please me and redo what I felt had been missing.

My last cleaning service I had to go behind them and point out things that they missed. Dust Bunnies was remarkable. They did everything and more. Thank you so much for a great job.
