SIDING/PAINTING/CHIMNEY REBUILD PROJECT - INITIAL PAYMENT MADE BUT JOB NEVER STARTED - MONEY HASNOT BEEN REFUNDED to-date. After Dustin Johnson Exteriors finished replacing my roof shingles on December 14,2021, I paid Dustin Johnson $6,819.06 for the initial funding for siding replacement in some areas, siding repairs in others, plus painting of the entire house, and rebuilding of the chimney. He said it would be completed before x-mas. Then it was moved to being completed by year end. Then it was moved to being completed the week after New Years day. Suddenly he dropped off the face of the planet and would not return my calls or answer text. Two weeks later he said he doesn't have the workers or supplies to do any of the jobs he had scheduled. He said he started working for a different company to pay his bills since his business couldn't do any work. I requested the contract be canceled and my money refunded. He has only given excuses saying he would get back to me after he speaks with his accountant. I made several attempts at contact but he has only avoided me. After-all, HE owes ME money now. He was extremely friendly when I was paying him but now that he owes me, it is a completely different story, today he said his ATTORNEY will be handling this. That money I paid should have been in an account for MY PROJECT ONLY. He also said that he cannot do new business under this company name anymore and he has done some sort of merger with another company. I know times are tough but a business needs to manage money and when they KNOW they can't do your job within two weeks of taking your money, they need to return your money and not take advantage of customers. My chimney was supposed to be rebuilt but now it has been getting rained in much more as two more months have gone by due to Dustin Johnson Exteriors not being able to do the job and not even making an attempt to resolve these issues.

We hired Dustin & his team to replace our roof in March 2021. We were looking to support a small business in South Austin and are so glad we decided to contact Dustin. He was extremely responsive and professional throughout the process, providing a reasonable quote and timeline for installation. Our house is located very close to our neighborsâ houses, and the crew took great care to limit the disruption to them, especially during the removal of the prior roof. The installation process was completed within about 3 days, and the crew did an excellent job of cleaning up after to remove nails, shingle pieces, etc. If youâ re looking for an honest and reliable Austin roofer, look no further than Dustin Johnson Exteriors & Roofing.
