Dutra Excavating and Sewer (aka Dutra Sewer and Water) provided me with excellent repair service on a breached underground water supply pipe on my property. The members of this family-owned business were professional, prompt, fair in their pricing, and thorough in the performance of the work needed. I recommend the company highly.

Very professional and great work

Bait and switch contractor. Gave estimate for replacing entire sewer line inside the house and property. Received deposit and scheduled work for day before Christmas, once they started working he put another contract in front of my wife with some "corrections" and skipped the entire house section of sewer work, and verbally confirmed that other than digging instead of pipe bursting everything stays the same. Even claimed that he just found that out that morning from town inspectors which is incorrect. He was informed of that when applying for permits. Long story short they did half the work for same amount of money... while I was away on business.

Mike, the father of this family owned business for 35 plus years, responded to my call that day, reviewed the project and gave me the best alternatives to my collapsed sewer line. The proposals I received from two other contractors and five plumbers, including my X-plumber, were more expensive, destructive to my house, lawn and maybe (probably) the street. In most towns the homeowner is responsible for the street. Mike gave me the best price for the whole job from inside my house to the main sewer line in the street without a song and a dance. When things went south because the sewer department failed to mark the correct location of their sewer line Mike's two sons, who where both on my job, had to locate it to hook me up. My job had this crew going above and beyond for me, without any excuses or extra charges. Mike's Sons stayed with me all the way on this job, did what had to be done and brought it home. I had been forced to campout for the last 2 1/2 weeks! When I say Mike gave me the best price for the best alternative, Mike knew I had been unemployed for 1 1/2 years and a very tight budget. Highly Professional Contractor and Employees . They went out of their way to ensure there was full communication and to do the job correctly and expeditiously with full attention to securing surrounding property . They work as a true " team."

Father (semi retired, started it decades ago) and sons business. From what I researched they do a lot of work for most of the towns around here, and get most of the subcontracting work from a majority of plumbers. They had all the equipment to handle any size job and multiple crews. So far in my experience as a first time home owner of a disastrous house this is the only contractor I've hired that I've been pleased with the owners, workers, scheduling, quality of work, and confidence they did it correctly. Normally for this level of happiness I would have expected to pay out the rear end, but their quote was very close to the other quotes I got and my gut says I wouldnt have had this quality of workmanship. If I could give 6 stars in every category, I would have.

Very professional and quick to respond to work

Very pleased with the overall job especially the removal and replacement of the landscaping and sidewalks and the effort to make everything neat and clean. I would definitely recommend this company. Workers were friendly and hardworking and did an excellent job!! Do no hesitate to hire them.

Chris and his team arrived on time and ready to work. In just a few hours our sewage woes were gone and a job was well done. Chris and his team went above and beyond to provide excellent, prompt service to a new homeowner who had been through too many under qualified plumbers. Would highly recommend this team. They did a great job, showed up on time, did what they said they were going to do. I felt bad for them because it was so cold out but they completed it and did an amazing job.

Taking to long to make repair. Has had my deposit for 3 weeks and still no estimated work date yet. Also charge you 3% more if you use a credit card to pay for repairs

This company worked with me every step of the way. Unfortunately mother nature caused this project to be delayed but they kept me informed of what they would do. Everyone I worked with was very professional and helpful. I would recommend them for your job.

These guys are a pro on what they do. I had a collapsed sewer pipe and the problem was on the street. Mike came and made the assessment, gave me an estimate and took care of the problem. Dutra Excavating did excatly what was expected of them in the timeframe we discussed. They were prompt and efficient.

Dutra Excavating totally impressed me. They were on time and finished way before my expectations. They replaced the sprinklers,( even though in the contract is says they aren't responsible), and seeded the place where they dug so it looked like nobody was there about a week later.

Dutra arranged did our sewer work, and arranged from a plumber to hook up our water (we were septic/well). The water leaked, but it turned out to be the water company! (they agreed). Dutra stayed to show water company the problem and made sure it was fixed.
