I'm a first time home buyer and know almost nothing about home ownership or maintenance. Craig tremendously helped us understand the different features he reviewed and he was very professional, thorough and knowledgeable. I highly recommend him as a home inspector and if you are like me, definitely attend his inspection and ask questions about anything you are unsure of. Last, he provided us with a very detailed report with pictures of his inspection and a guide for how and when to do maintenance on all the features he reviewed.

Very thorough and professional

Craig was extremely knowledgeable, professional, prompt and courteous. I would highly recommend him and will use him as my go to guy for any future needs.

Contracted with Mr. Tremblay to replace 3 skylights. 2 of the 3 replaced skylights leaked causing mold on my ceiling and damage to my roof & ceiling. Mr. Tremblay stopped responding to my requests for correction forcing me to place a claim with his insurance company. He was also unable, as licensed in mold remediation, to tell me if the mold cause by the improperly installed skylights was hazardous. Inevitably, the roofer he hired improperly installed the skylights and the additional work Mr. Tremblay did to 'repair' them made it worse. Please note that Mr. Tremblay is a home inspector but was unable to determine that they were installed improperly. This man sat at my dinner table with my family several times as well as celebrated Christmas with us but didn't hesitate to turn his back when he no longer wanted to take responsibility. He doesn't even deserve the .5 rating

Dwellco absoulte professionalism

Craig concluded a good home inspection. He was hired for additional home repairs. A roof that was contracted out and some other minor repairs. My one particular issue is the quality of work on front exterior steps. Shortly after it was rebuilt one of the steps came loose and separated. I asked Craig several times to come take a look at it, but not only has he not come to repair what he built, but he has since stopped responding to my requests. Hopefully if he sees this he will change his mind in order to get an updated review by me. Craig and I were also in agreement to swap out some work in our contract. Some work had to be noted on the contract per the bank for my rehab loan. The work listed on the contract was in fact to be completed by myself in exchange for replacement of my living room ceiling. Not only was the ceiling never replaced, but Craig was paid out by the bank for work never performed by himself. I requested a refund from the amount paid to him that was work never completed, but he has yet to reimburse me. I am currently out money with no replacement of my ceiling and will have to pay another contractor to repair the step he built.

Job well done

I contracted with Mr. Tremblay (Dwellco) to completely replace rear half of my storm damaged roof and repair resulting interior damage. Mr. Tremblay did an unacceptable sub-par job resulting in new roofing damages on top of never completing the job. Mr. Tremblay didn't install roofing correctly and water is getting under the new shingles causing the newly installed plywood underneath to swell and pop up shingles, just months after installation. Second roofer came for inspection and informed me that entire roof will need to pulled up to replace wet plywood and to reinstall new shingles properly. He did not properly install a strange metal trim he used to attempt to cover up gaps along roof edging leaving the trim hanging off the side of the house and popping off in other areas. There are nails on top of the shingles/roof all over poking out due to improper layering of shingles resulting in him randomly putting nails loosely in to hold shingles down. Mr. Tremblay never painted the bedroom ceiling, nor replaced the wet attic insulation nor fixed side trim he was contracted to do. I had withheld partial payment for that but not enough to cover rehiring someone to complete the job. It was also stated in the contract he would "apply for and secure" all necessary town building permits which I later discovered he did not. Mr. Tremblay was made aware of my concerns, agreed to needing to return to correct some things, but then never did and has since stopped responding to my outreaches. I am a senior citizen on a fixed income that feels taken advantage of. Please note small print on your contracts with Dwellco to ensure that Mr. Tremblay is withholding his part of the contract as well. I will be taking necessary steps to report these issues above.
