We had a long slog with our insurance company because of hail damage. Tony stuck with us for the whole tedious process to try to get the most from the claim possible. And when that did not bear fruit, he gave us a very good deal for our out of pocket expense. He is very responsive and would recommend his team.

We recently moved into a fixer upper and needed to get our siding redone. TJ came recommended to me by another contractor, and I’m really glad he was. From start to finish, he was incredibly communicative and professional. His team showed up on time, often even early, every morning they said they would be here. Everyone was friendly, knowledgeable, and easy to work with. What stood out most was how informed they kept me throughout the entire process, especially when unexpected issues came up, like discovering a rotted frame. TJ walked me through everything clearly and made sure there were no surprises. I would highly recommend EA Roofing and Siding LLC to anyone contemplating a roofing project. Prior to contracting with TJ, the owner of EA, I had spoken with him on various other roofing jobs he was performing throughout our community. On each occasion he took the time to answer my roofing questions with a high degree of knowledge and professionalism. When TJ began work on the second of my two neighbors' homes, I made the decision to work with EA Roofing on my roof replacement project. TJ paid a visit to our home and walked us through the various steps of the project, reviewed various samples/types of roofing shingles and provided us with excellent pricing on the project. In addition, TJ provided references and locations of roofing projects he had completed in the local area in order to assist us in making our final shingle selection. This was key in our selection of the proper color roof shingle as it provided us a means to not only see the shingles on a specific roof but also what the color of the shingles look like at various times of the day. Lastly, all of our questions were answered to allay any fears we had about moving forward with this large project. Our roofing project was completed in a single day with 10 men working on the roof from 7:00 am until nearly 7:00 pm. in the evening. All of the area surrounding my home was covered with tarpaulin. One of the men on the team cleaned up on an ongoing basis throughout the day so that by the time the project was completed in the evening, all debris (old underlayment, shingles, nails, etc.)had been removed from the surrounding area leaving the house in exactly the same state as it was when the project began at 7:00 am. Any and all issues/concerns were immediately addressed by TJ and his team in a punctual and professional manner. We couldn't be more pleased with TJ, EA Roofing, and our new roof!

TJ and Tony, the owners of EA Roofing and Siding, LLC were great!! I found them to be very professional, competitively priced and extremely knowledgeable about their products. They provided samples and a written estimate at our first meeting and communicated with me throughout the entire process. They even coordinated and met with the insurance adjuster to make sure things went smoothly and helped us to make sure we were in compliance with our HOA. I couldn't be happier with the final result (the house looks like brand new!!) -and the architectural shingles were a nice upgrade. I attached a before and after photo of one side of the house as well as a couple other photos. (The quoted price was for all work completed but we only had to pay for a deductible since our HOI covered the hail damage.)

Finished product looks great! EA upgraded our siding from aluminum to vinyl at no additional cost, and when some of the shutters broke as they removed them, and EA got us brand new ones for free!

After a big hailstorm in our area, EA knocked on the door and urged us to have our home owners insurance come out and survey the roof and siding to see if there was any damage. I'm so glad we did, because the insurance company recommended that we replace the entire roof! EA Roofing came out to my house to go over all my options, and even upgraded me to a better kind of shingles for free! They installed the new roof quickly (about a week after that meeting) and they were very professional. The new roof looks great! <br />

BEAUTIFULLY. I worked primarily with T.J. who addressed my every concern and questions immediately. He worked with my insurance company from the beginning all the way thru completion of the project. I am a "discerning" customer and can genuinely report that I have never had a better customer service experience. T.J. helped me to select the best color of shingles for the new roof, helped with my application for the HOA approval of a color change, he made certain that the crew arrived when scheduled and made certain that the interior work crew coordinated with the roofing crew. He made certain that the crew went thru my yard multiple times to pck up any nails that may have fallen into my yard. Since he knew that I was especially concerned for my dogs he had the crew do an additional search the following day. T.J. worked with several people to address hail damage in my community and everyone that I spoke with had the same glowing reports about T.J.'s excellent customer service and absolute professionalism. I usually only write a review if I had a poor experience - as a warning to others, but sometimes a company/employee stands out so brilliantly that I want to let other potential clients know! All of the employees who worked on my roof were professional, courteous and highly skilled. The work was high quality and I'm very happy with the results. <br />

They were a pleasure to work with.  Tony and TJ   are very knowledge and personable.  They are  focused on quality and customer service.  The workers  cleaned site every night.  I had little ones running around so it was very helpful.  We had a  few issues, which is completely normal with a project of this size.  They were extremely responsive and  answered any questions we had.  We would highly recommend them. <br />

We did a lot of research with other contractors before we went with EA Roofing and Siding.  These were larger operations and they spent a LOT of time marketing all the benefits of their products and differentiating themselves from the competition before they would even give you a hint at their pricing.  Once they revealed their pricing (in a follow up session), they wanted to you make a commitment (i.e. sign a contract) on the spot.  Hopefully this review will save you a lot of time listening to all the sales talks and help you avoid a high pressure sales situation that could end up being very costly.  <br /> <strong> Here are some of the main claims that those OTHER companies made:</strong> <br /> <ol> <li></li> <li><strong>Claim:  Financial Stability:  </strong></li> </ol> They claimed that ALL smaller contractors fund their current job with the money from their next job.  They tried to make you believe that those smaller companies are all about to go bankrupt and are taking an advance on your money to stay afloat for their current job. <ol> <ol> <ol> <li><strong>Fact: </strong> EA Roofing had no such cash flow problems.  Even after the job was done, they were in no big hurry to submit the final invoice.</li> <li></li> </ol> </ol> <ol> <li><strong>Claim:  Workmanship</strong></li> <li>The competition claimed that the other contractors put the new roof on over top of your old roof just to save money.</li> <ol> <li><strong>Fact: </strong> EA Roofing and Siding did very high quality work.  They most definitely took the old roof off, down to the bare wood, before they put the new roof on.  If they didn't do that there would have been no way to check for bad decking.  They did NOT cut corners to save money.</li> <li></li> </ol> </ol> <ol> <li><strong>Claim:  Other contractors don't have a good warranty on their work</strong></li> <ol> <li>They liked to emphasize that you don't have a warranty for the roof if the company goes out of business (and they are all about to go out of business as they told you in point number one...).  </li> <li><strong>Fact: </strong> EA roofing gave a good warranty:  They upgraded the roof to architectural shingles for no extra cost, because they wanted their work to "really look great."  The architectural shingles automatically come with a 30 year warranty.  In my opinion, the manufacturer warranty is not very useful.  It is extremely unlikely you'll ever need it, because NONE of them covers hail damage, which is the real killer of roofs.  The fact that it is excluded from the manufacturers warranty is no big deal, since hail damage is already covered by our homeowner's policy.  </li> <li>[The siding also came with a warranty.  I don't recall at the moment how long it is for...]</li> <li></li> </ol> </ol> <ol> <li><strong>Claim:  Other contractors void the siding warranty by using a drop in backer...  </strong></li> </ol> <ol> <li>Then they show you that their siding design has integrated the siding with the insulation (one piece, with no air gaps).  They emphasize that their siding is rated to 190 mph, while the regular siding is mounted on top of the insulation and has air gaps and is only rated to 130 mph.  In my opinion, this was a VERY weak selling point.  If there are 190 mph winds, then my house is going to get more damage from crashing trees and flying branches, NOT because there are air gaps between the siding and the backer...  I'm also not convinced that the integrated siding is all that great, because it is glued in place and does not allow the house to breathe.  (I'd rather let my house breathe and not trap the toxins inside...)  Either way, if the siding does rip off, then insurance will cover it.  Even better, Virginia has a law that prevents your insurance rates from going up if the claim is due to a natural disaster.  I'd rather save the difference in price and get NEW siding for the cost of my deductible, if that storm does hit.</li> <li></li> <li><strong>Claim:  Other contractors are unable to do larger jobs</strong></li> <ol> <li>Since we wanted two windows inserted in a brick wall [NOT A TRIVIAL JOB BY ANY MEANS...], we were prepared to hire another contractor to get that done, but EA Roofing and Siding had the appropriate connections to subcontract out that work and coordinate the timing of the projects to knock them out at one time.  Very impressive and with INCREDIBLE results!  It completely changed the look and atmosphere of the room and main level.  We absolutely LOVE the light and the new view to the back yard that we never had before.</li> </ol> </ol> <ol> <li><strong><br /> </strong></li> <li><strong>Summary: </strong> </li> <li>Apparently the large companies know where their competition is and they go out of their way to slam them for hours on end before they will give you their price.  EA Roofing and Siding didn't spend any time denigrating other contractors.  They just came in, showed you their products and got right to the price, which was SIGNIFICANTLY better than ANYONE else!!!  Their workmanship was phenomenal and project management impeccable.  On top of that, their price was unbeatable.  I just wish we could have saved ourselves all that time researching other contractors before we discovered EA Roofing and Siding.  Hope this info saves you that time.  God bless.</li> </ol> </ol> <br />

My husband contacted the insurance company for the claim and inspection. My husbands co-worker recommended EA Roofing and Siding. They had nothing but praise for EA Roofing and Siding. <br />  We called and spoke with TJ with EA Roofing and Siding  and gave him the inspectors name and number. He coordinated with  inspector. The insurance claim was approved.  The work required three separate teams of expertise which was efficiently coordinated by TJ.   <br />   <br /> The roofing materials were ordered and delivered within the week of the insurance companies approval. TJ was experienced working with the insurance companies process and payment policy. The roofing workers were scheduled the next week. They showed up at 9 AM as scheduled and worked thru the day until almost 9 PM and the roof was completed. The removal of the old roof is very messy but the property was spotless when the crew left. <br />  The next order was for the shutter replacement and siding repair. The workers showed up on time and work was completed and again property left neat. <br /> The next order was for interior painting and again the crew showed up at time we were told and completed the work within the day and departed with the property clean. <br />  We had never had to have this size of a project done before, so you are little apprehensive but working with TJ's professionalism, organizational and communication skills effected a professional, efficient and quality of workmanship. A job well done and to be proud of. <br />

The crew arrived early, stayed late when necessary and always cleaned up. Their lunch was taken at my property, they did not stop longer than 30 - 45 minutes and went straight back to work,

They were really good. Their pricing is competitive and the end results looks good. We'd probably use them again if we needed more siding work now that we've used them once. They were also very helpful in dealing with my insurance.

Even though it took six months to achieve the full funding to complete the contracting job from EA roofing from our insurance provider, EA stuck with us throughout the entire process and worked with the insurance carrier so that we weren't the victim in any dispute, and most of all we were taken care of. The roofing and siding job is constantly admired by neighbors, people stop by to let us know all the time how nice it looks and distinguishes the neighborhood. Thank you EA Roofing for a great job and we will always refer the great service to our neighbors, friends and family! <br />

<p>I'm very happy I went with EA Roofing and Siding. In my opinion you can't go wrong with TJ and Tony. They’re honest, accommodating and pleasant to work with and always have a positive attitude. If all business had these traits, then I think you would not need websites like Angies List to screen out the bad ones. Since we know that’s not the case, Angies List will help you identify the one that do. <br /> Here's what TJ and Tony did for me:<br /> - They were responsible for getting my home insurance approved. They set-up the latter and safety ropes and identified the damage and were waiting for the adjuster before he arrived. They came with a positive attitude and it made a big difference. <br /> - They changed their schedule to started my work early to accommodate my schedule. They did this to help me, much appreciated.<br /> - They replaced my 19 year old roof with new premium architectural shingles. Went from old and ugly to new and beautiful.<br /> - They replaced my old aluminum siding with a beautiful vinyl siding. Went from old, ugly and greyest white to new and beautiful wicker color. Love the new color and design. <br /> - They replace my old ugly greyest white gutters with new ones that do not show any hangers and have a high white gloss. Love them.<br /> - They painted my trim on my house. This was subcontract out and was not done very well at first and took a long time to get completed but TJ and Tony made sure they came back and it was done correctly. Now I happy with the results. Roofing and gutter work was very efficient and satisfactory. Removed old shingles and paper and replaced with new paper, ice shield and shingles, all in the same day. Took care to protect foundation plantings and deck. All materials removed and magnetic roller used to pick up loose nails in the grass. Gutters were replaced subsequently; again all work was professional and completed quickly with all debris removed. <br /> Skylight took some work to get the right replacement - non-standard size - but once the right replacement skylight was delivered, removal and installation was done quickly. <br /> Tony and Hassan worked with my insurance company and the adjuster to fully identify what needed to be replaced and did the work for the amount approved by the insurance company. Tony was on-site when the adjuster arrived for his inspection and accompanied him throughout. <br />
