You need to have everything in writing including when and how you pay them ( cash, check). You need to scope in details on the job you want them to do in writing (pour concrete, fill dirt to reinforce the concrete, move your sprinkle heads, etc.). They will ask you to pay even though the job is not completed 100%. Also You need to make sure they show up on time as in writing and communicated with you as in contract if when they show up to do the job everyday. I changed my ratings because the concrete slab is not even, Yesterday it rained so water is ponding on a section without the roof cover. The concrete surface is not even so water cannot drain but ponding.
