I'm only giving this company 5 stars because 6 is not an option. By far the best customer service I've ever received!! From the phone call, to the consultation, the work performed, the COMMUNICATION.....it was all perfect, and performed in a timely manner. I wish EVERY contractor I've dealt with would be as great as Edmar!! I'll be recommending this company every chance I get, and look forward to working with them in the future. Following the work we had done with Edmar, we added a water spigot to the side of the house. My negligence caused some of the houses original mortar around a brick to be knocked loose. I called Edmar to find out how much it would cost to have the one brick tuckpointed (It wasn't work they did, nor was it their fault the mortar came loose) and they offered to fix it at NO CHARGE. Just unbelievable customer service pleased to have dealt with them, and looking forward to working with them on our next masonary project!!!

My husband and I had a great experience with Edmar hiring them for concrete work! The gentleman who came out to provide a quote did so the same day and project turnaround time was super fast. The work turned out well and we were super appreciative as it needed to get done in order to start another project before Winter. We will be using them again and since I am a Realtor, I will also be recommending them to my clients in need of concrete or tuckpointing jobs.

Edmar has now done brick replacement twice on our chimney and both times were great. They have great communication and employees that will do a solid job at a reasonable price. We contacted so many local masonry and could not have been more disappointed in their quotes and some that didn't even show up after making an appointment. It's hard to believe some of these places stay in business, but I highly recommend Edmar and we won't even be getting quotes from other companies anymore we will just stick with what works and that is Edmar Masonry.

after reading reviews, I chose Edmar for my tuckpointing. in late April 2024 we made an appointment in five days. Pete showed up on time, very professional and gave a written proposal. we needed tuckpointing on the front and sides of our brick bungalow and needed an old window removed and bricked in. They came to work when they said they would, were polite and professional. It’s easy to communicate with them by phone or email. They got the permit and seemed unruffled by that process. They finished June 2. The work looks great. It cost around $4,000.

After obtaining quotes from several companies for tuckpointing, I went with Edmar, and, now that the work is complete, I am very happy with my decision. They weren't the cheapest, but weren't the priciest. I liked the fact that I was able to determine the eventual scope of the project based on what they saw once they started the work and could truly evaluate the situation. Turned out that I needed more things addressed than could be divined with the naked eye (that is, certain problems with the lintels became evident once they removed some of the old, damaged bricks). I was able to work with them easily, at that point, to modify our contract, and at a price I felt was fair. The crew was professional, hard-working and conscientious, as were the folks back in the office. As an example, they worked very hard to try to match the 130-year old bricks in my rowhouse in Lincoln Park. They couldn't get it exact, but they really went to great lengths to attempt to get them as close as possible. The results look great. I'm happy to recommend them.
