I will describe the whole experience, so people can judge my predicaments themselves and decide to hire them or not. The service was simple enough: install a EV charger (40 amps model) and a wired Ring camera. I sent some pictures and the tech specs of the charger, and waited for a quote. The quote came, above the average but it seemed fair. James, the owner, came to pick up the check and promised the technicians would come in the next day. The team did not show on the agreed day, but came in the day after. They seemed in a rush to finish the work and be somewhere else, but to be fair, they seemed competent and the work looked professional. I was busy serving lunch to my daughter, just wrote a check and let them go. What a regret. First, half of my first floor, including the A/C control, all kitchen lights and outlets were disconnected. Second, a 40 amp charger requires a 50 amp circuit, but both the cabling and the breaker only supported 40 amps. As result, when trying to charge my car at the max current, it worked for 2-3 minutes then the circuit breaker would stop the current. I reached out the charger customer service, they pointed me the documentation telling very clearly how a 40 amps charger needs a 50 amps circuit (50 amps breaker + #6 cable). After calling several times, the technician returned to my home two days after to repair the first floor circuit. Turns out, they disconnected a wire while connecting the Ring camera to the same circuit. I asked the technician about the charger, he said he did not have time right now but he would be back in the following week, after 4th July holiday. He did not show that week nor the week after. I tried to call James, when finally I got him on the line, he told me he would charge me another $250 to fix the circuit. I told him it did not seem right, since he was fixing a mistake. He told me this was him being generous, because it would cost him to replace the breaker and the wires. Without any other alternative, I accepted. I did not hear back for another week, then suddenly, he returned my call, asking me if they team could come in two hours. EMS technician came, replace the breaker and it seems the problem is fixed. However, when asked about the wiring, he told me James misspoke and no wiring replacement would be needed. He still charged me $200 instead $250. When I asked if I need another inspection, he said no, which seems strange: how a inspection for a 40 amps circuit can be valid for a 50 amps circuit? In resume, I hired them because I wanted the service to be done right, not cheap; and I have got neither. I am not confident the installation is safe and I am not charging my car at 40 amps. They seem nice and knowledgeable, but they have a terrible customer service, the work quality is no good and they do not guarantee their service.
