I hired Al because he gave a reasonable proposal, sounded like a nice person, and was recommended to me. Anny was the project manager. She was quite responsive, helped me with some design decisions, negotiated some pricing and went out of her way to help. My only disappointment was that during the length of the project, Anny was not available for two separate weeks, and the project was stalled. Other than that, the crew did a wonderful job. I would highly recommend them.

The guys were here on time, they really worked so hard, they know their job, and do it well! I'm in awe of how they transformed my apt. I had an 8 inch drop in my apt, it was so lopsided I would slide to one side all the time. They came and fixed it by building new floors basically, then installed the laminate floors. They did an awesome job!! I can't believe Iits the same apt!! I love it!! im so happy!!👍🏽💪🏽

NEVER hire them. They take on the project, everybody is all smiles, then they work a half day a week. I hired them to install cabinets and appliances in a small kitchen, to replace floorboards, and to rewire one wall. That was the first of May, and now it's October. Everything is a "change order" - the response to every question. If I could find someone to replace them now - because they have still not finished - I would.

Buyer Beware!!!!!!! Our experience with ERH is that the customer is always is wrong, and at a price. We initially had Al do an estimate for a crown molding job, where he referred us to Dykes Lumber Yard to pick a molding, order it ourselves, and then his team would pick up the order and start the job. After visiting Dykes, and measuring 87 linear feet for the job, we ordered 96' of molding (as advised). When I came home to the installed molding, it was the completely wrong product. It looked like a baseboard on my ceiling and was so bulky there were large gaps between molding and ceiling. Long story short, the molding was completely wrong, the lumber yard typoed the product by one digit. ERH assumed zero responsibility for this error even though their contractor installed what to me was a very obviously wrong product, and did not confirm or ask for a description before installing. Even though we followed the process exactly as we were told by Al, we were charged an extra day of labor. When the proper product finally arrived, the job continued. Since it was actually crown molding, the product installation was a lot cleaner, the molding was nicely installed, and no gaps. However, we were called around 12:30pm on day 3 to tell us they were 5 ft short. (we were charged an extra full day of labor but they ended at a half day) We then received an email stating "These scraps wouldn't be able to have finished the job. You said you ordered 86 feet of molding, my carpenter measured out about 91 linear feet".....these are both lies. A tape measurer clearly shows 87 linear feet and the fact that we ordered 96' of material was not something that was debatable (8 x12' pieces). What happened was that the contractor, Jalil, installed the molding going around the perimeter of the room, instead of strategically doing the long walls first, and then the smaller bits last. As a result, there were 19 off cuts and over 12' of wasted material. Of course, ERH said 0% was their fault and all additional charges for delivery and product were on us. We were not charged for the short time it took them to fill the 3' gap. Also, the second time around we had to go to the lumber yard and confirm the product, as well as picture texts before installation. When I said "it would have be nice to ask us to confirm the product the first time around"..I did not receive a reply. Lastly, a precious vase of mine was broken during construction, which I discovered by cutting myself when I took out the trash because the glass was sticking out. We emailed ERH about the broken vase, and it was never acknowledged. My fiance and I were so exhausted at this point, we just let it go because we were certain that all ERH would do was tell us that they did not in fact break the vase, and it wasn't their fault. Our experience was that they take 0 blame for any mishaps along the way. What should have been a short and easy job, wind up taking months and cost us an

ERH delivered beyond my expectations. They were comprehensive and thorough in evaluating the work that needed to be done, and provided solutions which saved me time and money. They were prompt, efficient, did what they said they were going to do and stood behind their work. Living in your home while renovation work is being done is never an easy thing, but they made it completely manageable through scrupulous preparation and clean up. I can't recommend ERH enough!

Al Rivera and the entire team at ERH Contracting did an AMAZING job! Al, Bobby, and Juan were highly professional at all times. The finished product (construction of an interior wall) is exactly what we had hoped for...right down to the matching molding. The construction team was very respectful of our home and continually kept us informed of the daily progress of the project. We are absolutely pleased with the results and the quality of workmanship. If you are planning a construction project, definitely call Al at ERH Contracting!

The only reason i give half a star is because that is the least you can post . otherwise i would not even give that. The job was way over the contracted time . Workmanship is terrible. The only thing they did perfect was take our money. We are currently in court with them.

Al Rivera is prompt, professional and employs a team of talented craftsmen. Last summer we put out bids for full interior repainting of our townhouse. He presented a competitive bid, seemed the most knowledgeable and promised to work within our tight timeline (before the moving van arrived.) His crew finished early and the house looked great. We have since used ERH Contracting for electrical, plumbing, roofing, and fireplace restoration. Al took charge of each project, returned calls promptly and found solutions to challenges that invariably occur working on a Brooklyn Brownstone.

The contract manager was not effective, new to the job. Constantly asked me for things. Work was more minimal and all items were not completed that were not visible to me until long after completion. Work was not so prompt, they started late everyday. Quibbling over clean up as part of contract. Seemed they took every opprtunity to try to charge extra. Boss great impressin, workers and work didn't measure up to first impression.
Response from ERH Contracting
"We are committed to providing our customers with the best possible service for what we are hired for. I would have to say that many of the expectations that were not fulfilled upon for this customer had to deal with the fact that it was not part of our scope of work and they didn't financially anticipate any unforeseen conditions....Hence a dissatisfied customer. Considering the number of truly happy and satisfied customers we have, I have to respond to this inaccurate description about us."

ERH (Al Rivera) was excellent. He came promptly, worked up a good design, worked with our insurance company to finalize scope. Estimate was clear and reasonable. But best of all is how his team completed the work! Very well, and on top, very considerate - they were working near our garden and didn't ruin the plants, and storing equipment in our living area - all neatly and with due respect. We are planning to use ERH for other projects in the future.

Work was done quickly and at a very good price. The quality of plastering was excellent, floor refinishing good and painting poor.
