Tree removal done on 8/25, it is 9/1/20 today and the trunk pieces are still on our property. They are using excuses as to why they have not picked up, i.e., they will come tomorrow, the truck broke down, etc. They offer cash and pay-by-check prices, the first is $50 lower than the second, do not do it, or, if you do, do not pay the whole amount due until they finish the job. Beware, they give no receipt for cash.

"Sorry about the inconvenience we did everything that was on our hands to rush the mechanic so he could get the truck fixed.Finally it was fixed and we got to pick up your wood this morning. When it comes to the two prices we gave you, we try to make it affordable for our clients when they pay cash they get to save 6% taxes. On the other hand when they pay with a check it is necessary for us to charge taxes. Every payment that we have from clients is in our record and the contract that you signed should be a receipt because everything is well written with the explanation on why you are paying the amount you are paying. We do not require any of our clients to pay any type of deposit before we do the work, we collect the money when everything is done and in this situation you had the option of paying the same day or when the truck hauled away the wood. Again I apologize for the inconvenience, thanks being patient. Have a nice day!"

ER Tree Service took down my Ash tree, ground two stumps, and trimmed a few small bushes for me. They responded very promptly to my almost emergency request for a quote coming out and providing quote on the spot! I had cut a beach high up myself and it didn’t break off and was dangling dangerously held up by a nearby tree with flimsy branches. They came next day and in less then three hours all was expertly completed! They are flexible too as I asked for trimming the small bushes after they were done, best of all my spouse is happy as well. In addition their pricing is very good compared to others!

These workers were really excellent, efficient, fast,and reasonable. The worker that did the climbing and the actual tree removal (I think his name was Brown) was sooo good. Their cleanup was also good. Our tree was about 80 feet tall and about 2 1/2 to 3 feet in diameter and it was gone in about 3 hours.

I work for a major GC in the DC area and do not usually write reviews, but it is unusual anymore to get the level of service that ER Tree Service provides. I needed a wind sheared tree removed before seasonal high winds brought down more of it. They provided a written quote and had the best price that included stump removal and cleanup. At time of estimate they gave an approximate date the following week and called the day before to confirm. I had a 60' wind damaged pine tree in the back yard and 2 20' trees rubbing the side of my house. When they had not arrived by 10AM I started to have misgivings. I called and was informed then that we were the second job on the schedule for the crew that day and they should be there about noon. The crew arrived before 12:30 and immediately set to work. By 4:00 they had all 3 trees down, the last of the stumps was being finished, limb chipping was complete, the yard was raked and the street was in process of being cleaned. I did landscape and tree work thirty years ago. I can tell you this crew was extremely proficient and capable. Two weeks later I hired them to take down an additional 3 trees that were damaging my driveway and foundation and presented landing issues due to power lines and proximity to my and my neighbor's houses and garage. They just left having done another great job (although the stump grinding was not completed due to an equipment issue / damaged hydraulic line - to be completed Sunday) and were headed to my son's house to remove a dying tree in his yard. So as you can see, I would use ER again and have already and will continue to recommend them to friends and family. The only negative comment from my dealings so far, I wasn't informed that I shouldn't expect a crew until the afternoon for the first job. I wish that was the worst I could say about all the contracting companies I deal with daily.
