They were contracted through Home Depot. I wanted a sliding door installed after purchasing a door from Home Depot. They still charged me a fee for â measurementsâ . On arrival, Home Depot had already charged me a padding but the installer didnâ t have it with him and had to take another hour to go to Home Depot to get it. The installed door was more than an inch above the floor, off center and wobbly. They also said I was missing a piece so itâ s wobbly. They also claim that they canâ t install it any lower because of the header Robin from Home Depot is also rude and lacks some common sense and also she doesnâ t know how to spell the capital of a state or the 2 letter abbreviation to collect my credit card info.

The home maintenance store/EW Nelson sent out their so-called *best installer* to put up a storm door at my house in January 2020. Installation went bad, the installer just knows to put the door up not the concept of what it is for, therefore leaks around the door. The wind chain is improperly installed and the door will not completely open. At first, he threw my original wind chain away and I made him put one back. I did not know he did not know how they are supposed to be installed, The lock does not work and they have been here a total of 4 times and now it is almost July and it still does not work. They tell me they are still trying to get parts for the lock they say it needs. When the original installer first came back he said I was turning the key too far and that is why it would not lock. I have a low tolerance for incompetence and their so-called *best installer* had a lot to offer.

I bought a front door an storm door from XXXX XXXXX and they sent this company. The installer thought I was a dumb woman and handed me the plugs that are supposed to cover the screw holes and said they need to be put in the freezer 24 hrs before installing. Of course I took them. I did not want him touching my door after that . The WORSE part is, he put w pieces of wood below my door jam outside but did not cover it with vinyl. After numerous calls they said they will caulk but not cover. Make sure if you get doors from XXXX XXXXX they do not send these guys.

Joe, who installed a new bathroom door for me. had to reschedule because of a personal problem. But, he was worth waiting for because he did an excellent job. I am so pleased to have a bathroom door that is working properly. It had been cracked and could not be locked and was split. Work was accomplished in a timely manner very professionally. Hire this company. Did superior job!

He was on time courteous responsive they did a great job! He made recommendations that improved the support of the porch - he makes great suggestions, that we didn't even think about.

Zach installed the first interior door and storm door. The second storm door they hung they sent out a butcher. If Zack comes to your home your okay but if that other guy comes to install your door you are in trouble.

We highly recommend E.W. Nelson Home Improvement. Ed, the owner was extremely responsive, visited our home personally, listened to exactly what we wanted, and got the job started immediately. Wonderful person and contractor. We can't say enough good things about him. Thank you!!!

Came for estimate at approximately the time agreed upon. Changed contract as requested to fit my situation. Seemed knowledgeable and experienced. I didn't feel pressured to work with him.

Absolutely AWESOME experience! Ed came out right away & submitted a complete estimate within days. I accepted, and he delivered the materials in a timely fashion so that I could stain/paint/polyurethane them before installation. Installation was set up at MY convenience, installer showed up promptly that date, was VERY professional and friendly. Did a superb job of removing the old pocket doors and installing the new ones, plus door and floor trim. He was very accomodating, worked very efficiently and expertly, thoroughly cleaned up after completing the work. I was VERY pleased with EW Nelson & will certainly use them again! THANKS ED!
