Reviews
Write a ReviewJim is personable and a very hard worker. He gave a lot of good information and kept us informed of the process. There was a rain delay and a Covid delay, but the work is finished and beautiful. Just canĂ¢ t wait to drive on the driveway. Walking on sidewalk and steps is great.
Jim was a very likable and easy to get along with. He set a schedule and stuck to it
Jim came out to my home and offered a very competitive quote. Concrete cannot be poured in rainy weather. Jims determination to see my work completed within our agreed upon time frame, meant he was preparing the work site, leveling, graveling, compacting and ensuring drainage profiles every workable day until concrete pour day. He left the worksite in a usable fashion every day after work, so as not to inhibit our usage of our yard and frequent usage of our outdoor space. Jim offered to use rounded borders in place of geometric angles to complement the grass to home transition. I was unaware this was possible, and it made the finished product exponentially better. I was able to provide a very generic idea to Jim and the outcome was routinely above my expectations in both design as well as detail and finish. When instructed to expand the width of my driveway to increase usable area and reduce maintenance, he and his crew went above expectations to remove existing curb material and ensure transition between the existing driveway and street and the new pour would be seamless and appealing. He was eager to provide my wife and I with project progress reports. His courtesy also extended to showing expected outcomes prior to pouring to ensure our happiness with expected results. On the day of pour, Jim was at our home no less than 12 hours to ensure site preparation (including moving our furniture and fire pits to exclude from the possibility of damage), concrete quality, as well as desired finish detailing. I mentioned, a single time, that some gravel had been spilled into our pea-gravel outdoor area. I said it was fine and we would mix it in no problem. Jim picked each piece of gray gravel from our pea-gravel before heading home. This is a very nice man who will come to your home, respect your time and your property, and deliver above your expectations. His prices are competitive and, most importantly, he will follow through with every agreed upon detail. Hire him!
We hired this company to work on our driveway. They put a new one in. Jim and his guys are very professional and they showed up every day promptly and done a fantastic job. After he came out and took up the form boards he done some back filling with dirt to fill in the gaps between the grass and concrete that he poured. I would highly recommend him and his team to anyone who is needing any work done. We are very happy with our new driveway.
Started out giving an overall good plan to pour concrete. Having concrete brought in and professionally poured and finished. Showed up with a truck load of concrete bags and mixed the concrete and tried to finish it himself. The finished project is a disaster. I had to supervise the project. Very sloppy, uneven concrete, unprofessional to say the least, I will need to hire another company to fix the problems and to finish the project. Would not recommend this company.
The customer was told in detail how the project would happen. Signed two separate contracts, one for concrete work and one for decorative work. A customer brought a warped 2x4 out and laid it on the concrete and made a comment about the concrete is uneven. Showed him the board was warped and turned the hose on to allow the water to run for a little bit to see if it was running off the way it should and it was. The customer was present during this time and seen that the concrete was even and water was running off as it should. It was explained to the customer that we had to wait 30 days in between both jobs due to the concrete needing to sit and cure. He was okay with that. He spoke to the assistant several times during the time frame and never once had a complaint about the completed concrete job. He signed off on a sign-off sheet stating he walked around and inspected the completed work. He was happy with the work that was already completed. He became very overbearing, fussy, and demanding. We told him we found it best that he went with another contractor. He had no issues with the completed work prior to being told we no longer wanted to work with him. We have before and after pics of the concrete work that was completed.
He did good job.
We actually had a floor poured in our crawlspace. JIm came out promptly after we inquired and gave us an estimate for the job. He spent a lot of time prepping the area since the space was not level. He is quite knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. The concrete was brought after the area was ready, and the crew did an excellent job! We were impressed! We do not know the normal price for this type of project, but it seemed reasonable to us. Now instead of wasted space, we have more storage space than we actually need! We enjoyed working with Jim and his crew and would recommend them to anyone who inquired! Jim's wife also did a great job of keeping in touch with us during the planning time!
Did a great job, completed three patios and did a great job. It took some time from start to finish but weather was the deciding factor on that. Office very good at keeping me posted if any changes or dates changed due to weather. Not one crack in cement at this time was installed on October 23rd. Will be back out in March to due an custom overlay .
They were great workers. Did a lot of above and beyond. Very professional and very personable.
The company really dressed up our concrete as the perfect finishing touch to our new house, and we love the final result. Jim and his team worked very hard during some very hot weather to make sure the color was applied properly! They worked until dark on the last day to make sure everything was finished right, then returned the next morning to make sure nothing was overlooked!! Great attention to detail!! Jim's explanations were clear and informative, and he made some suggestions to our plans that turned out to be better than what we had planned! This business is HIGHLY recommended if you want the extra decorative touch added to your driveway, patio or sidewalks!!
