"At Eastern Carolina we provide high quality inspections. Brian from the get go was unpleasant and unhappy the moment he arrived at the home. We do strive to be on time and or early as a convenience to the Realtor and clients who do are very busy. We traveled for 3 hours to do the inspection for Brian that he was late for. The realtor and the inspector had started the home inspection prior to him arriving. I told him what I had found so far and again very unpleasant. As the owner and inspector of the company I saw he was upset and asked him if he wanted to start the whole inspection process over again that I was free for the rest of the day and could walk him through. He just shook his head. Then he asked if I entered a scuttle hole access in the hallway to look in the attic. I told Brian that we do not bring equipment / ladders into homes do to liability and safety issues. SC scope of practice states the home has to have a curtained sized attic access with accessible pull down stairs with safety railing on both sides. He again stated so you not go to look up in there. Again as the inspector I re advised him we will not and never will go in scuttle holes nor bring ladders inside the home. We did a full inspection, based on his comments about a few pictures we only take pics of thing in or outside of the home that needs replacing or repaired. I also crawled under the house as far and an inspector can go in safely. I always put on cover all that I keep in my vehicle to assure my under clothes stay clean, and we do not bring dirt inside the home. After Brian still being unsatisfied I told Brian that the inspection was on me and I did not charge him a penny for the inspection. Drove 3 hours back to our office and still done a full computer report for him that evening and still not costing him a thing. We sent the report to him and the realtor. Our software send use an email when the client receives the report and reads it. Of course, we got an email that he received and read the report. Also as home inspectors we are not perfect and do not catch 100 percent of problems in a home, we still learn every day too. So for give us from Brains comments and you can also see from our other reviews that we give 5 service every day and will continue to serve SC. As a business man and owner you see again he stand above and beyond to make sure we do the right thing even if we don't get paid. In this world there are people you just cant make happy no matter what, but we will strive to make you happy. Thank you and call us for your inspection needs. If anyone wants to see brains report as an example please feel free to contact us at 843-499-4896. We are able to do this since this was a non-payment inspection."
