They pulled my roofing contract back after they decided that my negotiated and singed contract was not making them much money. Here how it went: Ben, there service kid showed up, he was very good in talking from sales prospective. After he convinced me that their service is top class and all employee registered via contractor licensing sit, and they have the best price for the product and service. I singed the contract and paid $6000 down. After four weeks or so their project Manager, Jody, called to tell me that Ben had calculated the square footage of t my roof wrong. She said I have two choices: Either pay the different or she will return my money. The difference was $8700 more on top of 18K. So I canceled my contract and got my money back. After signing the contract I bought gutter covers and roofing harness which I could not return. I believe it was their mistake they should have honored the contract and write off the difference. Here is the issue, I called four more roofing contractors, they all came back with 18K quote, so I am wondering if they were charging me more than they should have. The other thing I noticed, the square footage they gave me the first time by Ben was correct because other four contractors gave me same square footage. So be careful if you use their service, they will drop the price very low but they will hike the square footage of your roof. I am stuck with gutter cover and roofing harness, they want restocking fee of $100 plus shipping on me of $65 because heavy stuff. I want this money back from ECO Roof service I will file small claim if I don't get my money back.

I would not recommend this company. The office manager is just awful, rude and VERY unprofessional. Save yourself the headache and go with a company that CARES about people and not just money!😠
Response by Eco Roof Services, LLC: We are sorry you feel that way. The office manager was not rude in fact very patient when both the deposit and the final payment were delayed. If it comes across as rude because her job is to settle accounts then it is just that, her job. It does require a deposit to get the project started as there is cost associated with jobs like labor and material. The customer did not have final payment upon completion and stated that the bank was sending it, in talking to the bank the check was not immediately sent due to the homeowner not informing them the project had been completed. I am sorry if that feels like we only care about money but as a business we have overhead and cost and it is not fair to our company to have to chase after payment after all we did do a service, completed it on time, and it looks beautiful!

i work for Microsoft, i have no policy records of any kind. third business day of signing contractor with Eco home service, snohomish policy called my phone for a few questions, and i anwsered all of them. since i am a geek, i'll state this as factual as possible: business day 1, 9/14/2017, Eco sales Aaron came to our home, discounting 3114 sf metal roof installation from $41,000 down to $30,000, we signed the contract, he took a $16,500 check from us as deposit. business day 2, got another quote $22,000 from a different company, we decided to cancel contract with Eco. I signed a contract cancellation statement at the bottom of the original contract, took a picture, and emailed to ECO. ECO replied saying i have to cancel in person. no choice, i then went to their office and handed it in. prior to they taking it, i stood there having to anwser all the questions from their sale person Aaron, i felt my words shaking, , and they then gave me a copy of the original but ECO didn't sign their signture on it. uponing coming home, i realize that at this point i have no written/traceable proof that i actually canceled the contract. at 3:30pm, i called ECO front desk asked that they email me an acknowledge of the cancellation and i was told no problem. at 4:50pm i called again, they told me they are busy but will for sure email the acknowledge to me before the end of business day. at 6pm, no email. business day 3, i called again in the morning, their manager Jodi basically said she wouldn't email me such acknowledge of contract cancellation until my $16,500 check clears, she could only verbally say to me the contract is canceled. ( the contract is written this way: consumer has three business days to cancel, and seller is prohibited from depositing any check within these 3 business days and afterward consumer would incur 30% restocking fee of the $30,000 contract total.) at this point, i got really worried, since i have no way to prove my physical cancellation with ECO. i called HomeAdvisor for help, they gave me the link to consumer complaint from the Wa Attorney General's Office and i emailed ECO about me opening a compliant with Attorney General's office. half an hour later, i finally got the email acknowledge of canceled contract from both Jodi and Aaron, i was happy. suddenly the phone rang, i anwsered and it was snohomish policy calling me, and asking me a few questions on what is going on with ECO. basically, ECO called snohomish policy and told them that i was going into their office again and fight about this transaction. yes, i did write an email earlier prior to the email with Attorney General information , saying i was going into their office in person again and fight about this and i would be calling the policy while in their office. based on that, ECO called the police first about me. conclusion, i am looking to spend $22,000 - $30,000 thousand dollars for a new metal roof, ended up doing 6 phone calls and about 5 emails, and having a police office calling my phone, i told the officer i was now very happy that i finally got the email acknowedge from ECO as a proof that the cancellation is in effect, and i wouldn't have risk of losing $10,000 as restocking fee. but since the police officer called me, i must be more or less at fault, i should probably look myself in the mirror and ask hard questions. and i will.

Review by Greg K. in Issaquah, WA
STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!! I hired them to install a metal roof. I do not believe their crew is experienced at metal roof install considering how poor a job they did. They assigned a project manager with little experience and a lack of knowledge running roof jobs. They have an office manager junk yard dog they sick on you for payment instead of making corrections to a very poor quality install. They have you sign a contract that is one sided. They fabricate change orders without any approval and then point to their contract to justify their actions. The crew of 8 had only one person that could speak english well enough to talk to. They left dangerous metal shards all over my landscaping. The roof installed does not lay flat at the roof edge so rain water in those areas flows over my Leaf Guard Gutters. They play a game of intimidation instead of simply making corrections. I expect their response to this terrible review will be to make claims that I just don't want to pay. I have the money and pay my bills timely with all my contractors. My payment history is excellent. Trust me this is a company you do not want to do business with. Their sales person does an excellent presentation but don't be fooled. Stay away from these people.
Response by Eco Roof Services, LLC: Greg is right, it was pulling teeth to get him to pay his bill. Even after having a certified representative of the supplier and certified installer inspect his job Greg kept coming up with another reason not to pay, adding "ghost problems" to his list. We had to send someone out to video his whole roof just to document his false claims. As you notice from his comment "They have an office manager junk yard dog" this is in the same manner Greg continued to speak and talk to all of the staff at our company. Greg's demeanor and words were very volatile and extremely harassing to all involved. Almost every word from his mouth was derogatory and or aggressive in nature. Greg tried to bully the employees with each encounter weather in person or by phone. The fact is we are roofing experts with certified metal installers, Greg is not, and as explained to Greg several times, it is his underlying roof structure that has an issue not the installed materials, not only did we explain this to him so did a certified representative of the supplier, along with roofing experts. Greg's issue with his gutters are that of it's own, we did not install, move or manipulate these, he simply has a new roof that does not realign with his old gutters, all of which were explained to him a well. His emails contained issues that did not exist and for his comment on change orders, he had rotten plywood " we have pictures", that we gave him at a discounted rate, supported by a documented phone call and as well as an email he responded to at again a discounted rate, something we didn't have to do. These are not hidden costs but are all labeled in the contract, which is not one sided. We do not leave rotten wood on a home and why would anyone want to cover up rot with a brand new roof, doesn't seem to make much sense?! This is clearly a customer that does not understand the difference between a material deficiency or an underlying structural problem with his already existing roof structure. Although we can have every expert in the world explain to Greg what his real issue is he will unfortunately not listen and this is just a case where no matter how much you bend over backwards you cant satisfy everyone. We do feel good about the fact we could help you with your cost by giving you a discounted rate, and let's not forget the fact that you flat out refused to pay for additional necessary wood work and labor. You expressed concern over the cost, and are happy to know that we went above and beyond to continue addressing the reasons for non payment, even though we had video to show these things were not real, until you simply ran out of reasons not to pay. We stand by our install and if you should have any issue with your newly installed roof we will stand by our lifetime warranty as well. Although we can not please everyone we hope you do enjoy the new metal roof
