Economy showed up this week, 2 months after the piling failed and probably because of the complaint, They have abandoned the project. Per their email, they are *done*. The project is still not in compliance with the Environmental Protection Commissions inspection and our boat lift is partially sitting on our dock and partially hanging off our dock, Lift pilings were totally removed and new ones were not installed. What is the company doing to complete the project and correct the EPC noncompliance? Per my discussion with the EPC today, they have NEVER had a dock company walk away and leave a customer high and dry. I would love to post a picture of what we have been left. We are not trying to cause trouble, we just want the project, which started 3 months ago. complete. They have abandoned us, The EPC will start finding them for non-compliance, HomeAdvisor, please advise what you can do to help get this project completed. Economy indicated that they did not have the proper equipment to install larger pilings and were going to hire a subcontractor. They had discussions with a subcontractor, but are now refusing to do anything to correct the EPC deficiency or to complete the project. This is not a company HomeAdvisor should endorse if they are not willing to even work with the EPC to correct their non-compliance.

"A piling settled a couple of inches due to a very soft bottom. Nothing crashed or fell into the water this person wants to cause trouble. The owner requested larger pilings be installed so it takes time to make other arrangements to install these pilings. When it comes to weather it can be sunny and warm but when the wind is blowing working on the water some times is delayed and in this case the weather was an issue. For a person who does not understand working on the water, I can understand why they would think this."

They kept their appointments and time schedules promptly. I appreciated their recommendation of a piling inspection BEFORE proceeding. All work was accomplished promptly in a professional manner. They cleaned up all debris after they finished without my having to prompt them. Since I had only had my wood decking replaced with a composite, I didn't need to get a permit, which would have caused delays. I can't say how things would have gone in that case, but for what I had done they did an excellent, professional job and I would recommend them.

"Everything we told them was accurate. Permitting takes some time and she was not happy that it was taking so long so she thought we were telling her stories. Permitting thru the cities and county's can take as much as 60+ days depending on their workload and questions that may arise about the project. They are here for a short period of time and were anxious to use their boat that was in storage so I can only surmise that this created her urgency to get things moving faster."
