Do not hire this company. While they want owners to abide to their contract they do not subject themselves to the contract. Non existent customer service inexperienced pool techs. Do not fall for the free use of their salt system. There are many reputable companies out there. Do not fall for the bs the salesman spews.

Do not use this company! Bought our first pool home (but not first home), in July 2020. The DAY AFTER CLOSING, you guys were knocking on my door. Despite having a pool company already in the works, we canceled that agreement because we felt like your company would be better, more knowledgeable, and helpful for a first-time pool owner. This is certainly far from the case. You guys installed our salt cell and started maintaining regularly, but then on Tuesday last week, I came out to what appeared to be algae and was told the pool was just shocked, so to scrub daily and it would go away. Okay, cool. Well, I mentioned to the technician I felt like we needed a new pump because I started to notice a burning smell the day before, so I needed a quote on a pool pump. You guys called within the hour with the quote. Still great, but we wanted a few more quotes, and specifically a variable speed pump, which was not offered, so we assumed it was not an offering. So I started getting more quotes. BOTH parties who came to quote us on the pump said the salt cell was installed incorrectly, and that the house was at risk for fire due to the exposed wiring due to just drilling a hole in the side of the box without additional protection from rain, AND there were wires just hanging out of the thing when it was opened! I never touched it, because I pay you guys to handle it. Plus, I am not an expert...YOU ARE. So the last guy that came quickly asked if I would like him to fix it (his company will also be getting notified of my dissatisfaction) and naturally, I said yes because I do not want my home to burn down with my family inside. Well, I did not realize he was disconnecting the thing. But he did. Upon asking what I should do (because I am freaking out at this point), he said *call your pool company and tell them this is a traditional pool until they install your cell safely.* So I called you guys...crying. Desperate. Was told the manager would be here Monday. The manager never shows. So I call Tuesday morning, I am told someone will be here Thursday. Fine. Today is Friday, and still a no-show. I called first thing this morning and was told *your technician is scheduled for Tuesday, he will be there then.* I begged. Offered to pay a service fee if needed. And nothing. No help. Now my pool is green and my pump went out today. Thanks for the stellar service. I would never recommend you to anyone, and I fully intend to let everyone know about my experience. I am in complete shock.

They have no problem charging you the money but they don't show up when they are supposed to. When they do come they don't do all the things they are supposed to. I had to call and complain many times. After I canceled they still charged me even though they said they wouldn't. They try to take services off your plan without telling you. This is the worst business I have ever dealt with. I have had to have my water tested after they were here and had to add chemicals because the water balance was not right.

Trust me, do not hire this company if you live in the Orlando metro area. I cannot speak for other areas, maybe they are fine, but our service was despicable. The worst thing is that they lied about cleaning the filter, did not clean it, and ended up ruining our 6-month-old pump, and of course, would not take responsibility. The chemicals were always off. The pH way too high or way too low. Several times he did not even show up when he was supposed to. Scheduling was inflexible. And then, when I went to cancel, they refused to allow us to keep the salt cell until the end of service, stating **it is out of my control**, even though I had it in writing that we could keep the cell until the end. Truly horrible. The free salt cell loan is not worth it, just buy one and get good service.

They provided a pool service. So far they were supposed to have serviced my pool18 times, twice they have not come at all, and do not usually answer the calls. They claimed to have a protocol that is not followed. They have never called to let me know they were coming. They did not come on the same day each time. When you get ahold of someone, they tell you they are running one, two, or three days behind. I have a courtyard, but they will not take a key code to get in. I have either stayed home in case they come or if they come and I am not at home they will not come back. The saltwater system is always low on salt, and the red warning light is on. The service tech is never the same, and one that came out was homeless. None of them ever wears masks, and I have had several complaints about how bad the company is. Do not use them. They tell you randy is the manager, but six times I was told he would call me and never did.

Zero communication, pool was Green for 6 weeks before we had to cancel service. Calls went unanswered, tech was useless. Our pool started turning green. We asked the tech when he was here and he indicated he would shock it. Next week, pool was still green. Week 2 pool was very green and called company multiple times with no response. Week 3 pool was disgusting and talked to on-site tech again. He said that our salt generator needed to be cleaned and he keeps telling his manager. Called again and left messages with no response. Week 4 finally got someone on the phone and they indicated they would credit us for the month and that he would find out about salt generator issue. Said that the tech should be able to handle the salt generator issue on site and wasn't sure why it wasn't done. Told me he'd call me back with a resolution. Never called back. Week 5, pool still green and now had "sand" in the bottom the pool. Week 6, was home when tech was there and he said it should start getting better soon. Asked him about the sand and he said it was probably "DE". Asked him why he didn't let us know last week when he was there and he said "its not my fault". Told him not to come back. We received an invoice a week later. My wife called and their first sarcastic comment was "Whats the matter, cant pay your bill because of COVID" She explained the situation above and he said he would note it on the account. Just received a letter from collections for $150. Not sure how these people are still in business with this kind of service.

The salespeople are the only ones doing their job. The actual service is abysmal, but the customer service is on a whole other realm of terrible. They will promise anything to get off the phone and delay addressing any issues you have. They want to keep you paying for services not provided and will try and collect months after they stop pretending to service your pool.

Absolutely TERRIBLE service!! They hardly come out and when they do their techs only skim the surface. When asking the techs why the pool is not getting any better, they give you different excuses like they are short-staffed or waiting for a special net to be ordered. Meanwhile we have called the owner for weeks and have gotten no response. We finally got in contact with the people in Venice, but still not the guy running the Jacksonville location. He told them to tell us that it was our filter causing the pool to still look green. We asked for him to contact us directly and explain to us the issue and how after almost a year of service, this is the first time we are being told this. We have yet to hear from him. They continue to take money out of our account but no one comes out to even look at our pool. We would have canceled awhile ago but we were never home to see just how little they were doing. This company is a lie. Save yourself the hassle and money and go with someone else. There is a reason they have 1 star on Yelp.

This company does not communicate, provides horrendous service, poor quality of work, and frankly there is nothing redeeming about their offer. I was lured into working with this company by a Sales person offering a free salt water cell install. I was able to keep the cell as long as I maintained monthly service. I thought it was too good to be true, and I was correct. I gave the company two and a half months to get it together, and they never got close. They showed up for the first cleaning on the appointed day, and that was the last time that anything good happened. I had to call every week after missed appointments, and there was always an excuse about staffing problems. At first, I was lenient and gave them time to staff up, then when the problem persisted I asked to speak to someone that could describe their business strategy to care for their customers. No one ever called me back, they could not even take ownership of a simple return phone call. When they did come (sometimes missing complete weeks) they would not complete cleaning, neglecting details like the polaris bag. 10 weeks of unfulfilled promises, moving my cleaning day with zero communication...randomly showing up on weekends even. That is my journey. I am a level-headed, reasonable person, but this was the worst experience I have had with a business. I am not sure how they keep customers. There are many other options for good pool service, so please steer clear of this one.

Do not sign a contract with this company! They have you sign a binding contract that requires a 30 day in advance written letter of cancellation!! You are locked in an extra month of the worst pool service in SW Florida!!! The techs are not properly trained and some of them just do not care what lousy work ethics they have!!!! The last experience, the tech told us that his boss was out of salt and that he was not in any hurry to order any...a week later and still no salt for our pool!!! That did it. Especially after the previous inadequate pool cleanings that are all on security cameras. We should not have to call Economy Pools and complain. The business should be contacting the homeowner to find out if their pool techs and monthly service is the level and quality as expected.

Can I leave zero stars? Service started out great then took a jump off a cliff. Techs were regularly no-shows, the company remedied this by sending techs back to back the following week (would not show up week 1, would come Wed and Thurs the following week) and continued to charge full price. We had blue-green algae that covered the vacuum hose once, green algae another time. Constantly calling customer service and finally cancelled after the latest no-show but still have to pay for the next 30-days due to the contract.

I called Rich (the manager) and Tim (contractor) last Monday (9/23/19) to cancel our salt water contract since our pool has been unusable since it was installed 7/2/19! Despite the fact we have sent weekly pictures showing its poorer and poorer condition. The pressure gauge on the filter was also broken and has not been replaced. I called Tim 9/25 and he said we are on the 2-day schedule. No activity as of 3 pm 9/27, and no response from my text to Tim. We hired a Pool Leak Co. to diagnose our leak and the water is too black to complete the work. We are planning to add our poor review to all the others here, and any other social posting we can find.

We hired Economy in 2013 and were happy. They were sold a few years ago and although we thought everything was fine, the techs spent little time and I noticed they were not testing the water. The pool bottom began to look terrible. Finally, I hired a new pool company and to my horror, I found there was no trace of chemicals and thus a balance in the pool. The acidity was out of sight. I tried to contact the manager but he/she did not return my calls. I paid $85/month for many years for nothing. Do not use this company. The only reason I gave them a one-star review is because I could not give them 0.

The pool heater was installed without the required County permit and it was incorrectly installed. One problem was resolved but the electrical connection problem is being handled by another company. It is disappointing as past experience with the company was OK.

They raise the price of monthly cleaning service without notice & they don't send an itemized bill & puts the increased bundled fees on my credit card. The pool tech has done pools for 30 yrs. The new business owners are ruining Economy Pools.
