I will definitely hire Ed again. He is very detailed oriented professional and easy to work with.

The most disappointing thing about Ed is that he lied to me. I like Ed as a person but when 35% of the work that he did cracked I was told through numerous texts that he would take care of them. The unfortunate thing was that I paid Ed in cash for 100 feet driveway. Ed was supposed to caulk around a drain and never did. The work that he did for me is less than 2 years old and will probably not stand up as I hope it would. My job was rather large so I would never recommend him to anyone for a large job.

Work was never completed despite being paid in full.

In October 2021 we signed a contract with Ed Glover to replace our retaining wall and install a french drain along the side of our house. At the end of the project, two capstones were missing and Ed said he would come out to put them on. The weather got bad, and he promised he would come out. We have texted back and forth trying to schedule something for 8 months. The last text I received was in June. The workmanship is okay. He angled the capstone on the left side of my retaining wall at a 45-degree angle but the right side is squared off so it is mismatched. The one capstone on the right side corner was never glued on. Never have Ed Glover Construction installed a french drain. He installed it 1 inch below grade, when I asked for it to go deeper he said it would be okay, guaranteed. I am still getting water in my basement, and he no longer responds to my texts. Do not pay Ed, completely until you are fully satisfied with the work and it is completed in full. His word can not be trusted.

I do not recommend it. I hired Ed Glover construction based on their good review on home advisor earlier this year (multiple poor reviews have since been added). We paid him $27K in early May 2022 to install a cement driveway to replace the asphalt driveway that we had. All he needed to do was follow the layout of the original driveway that sloped away from our house and had no water issues whatsoever. Our house is built into a hillside so all water naturally ran downhill to our back yard. Ed poured the new cement without using lasers, and string lines, and apparently without even taking a moment to use a level because the majority of the driveway was laid improperly to slope TOWARDS our house instead of away. The run of the driveway along the side of the house is sloped significantly towards the house (by nearly 2 inches), and the turnaround area behind our house is sloped even more significantly towards the back of our house causing so much water pooling with nowhere to go that with the heavy rain we could not open our garage without water coming into our house! Ed offered to attempt to fix the most significant problem area if I paid for materials. After coming only 1 hour or so a day only a few times a week for weeks he stopped showing up or responding to texts or calls. After the area was only partially excavated I eventually on June 13th said I needed the work completed or I was going to file a claim if he did not call to discuss, and he has not reached out in any way since then. The cost to correct the issue by another contractor is more than half of the $27K I had originally paid him.

I would not advise anybody to hire Ed Glover. After obtaining 3 bids I decided upon Ed Glover because his price seemed fair, he appeared to be personable, trustworthy and knowledgeable. Also, at the time he had 12 excellent reviews/ratings on Homeadvisor. On 2/26/2022 I accepted his written quote for driveway widening and rebuilding of outside concrete steps and platforms of my Verona, PA Residence. On March 16 he sent over a subcontractor to excavate which essentially meant to tear up driveway, steps and with that almost 50% of my front yard. Major concrete blocks were delivered that day and placed (but not finished). From 3/16 until 6/1 no progress. When I called or texted I rarely got responses. If I did, promises were made that were not kept. On June 2 one person showed and prepared a few wood frames. On June 10 Ed Glover showed up with one worker to continue building wood frames for steps. That day he damaged my water line. Water main got shut off by water department. It cost me $6,000 for emergency plumbing line repair. Ed Glover took no responsibility for it. This is the end of July and he never did return to finish the job. I paid $6,000 to him, $6,000 to the emergency plumber = I am out $12,000. My driveway and stairs are still torn up. it is devastating.

3 weeks to demolish only 1 guy doing that. The retaining wall was a joke. they did not level, clear debris out of the area for wall to be built. built wall on top mud and garbage. Had to be torn down and rebuilt by another company. I would not recommend this company.

Ed and his crew worked quickly, but thoroughly. Price was reasonable and I would hire him again. Nice guy, hard worker.

Ed and his team were a pleasure to work with. They installed a heated concrete floor in a barn for us. Ed was very communicative, friendly and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend Ed Glover Construction to others.

I’ve enjoyed a nothing less than a great experience with Ed Glover construction. We had a 110 foot driveway with a connected 20 by 20 patron as well as a front walkway and pad that was over 40 years old and in need of replacement. Ed’s crew tore out all of that and replaced it in five days. I’ve never had this type of work done before, but Ed and his crew were at my home from sun up to sundown at an Unimaginable pace. They were very considerate of my neighbors property as well. Another great feature of Glover construction was the expertise that was used as well as sharing his ideas of how to make the job look better than I could’ve ever imagined. The Glover construction bid on the work was more than competitive with the other 5 offers that I received. I highly recommend Glover construction to anyone who is considering getting any type of concrete work done.

Very experienced at their craft. Worked nonstop all day until it was finished, my yard cleaned up sealed my concrete it was beautiful. Iâ ve had people stop and asked who did my work and asked for his phone number. To say the least Iâ m very very pleased.
