Project: Hire a Handyman
Eddy arrived at my home to hang a very large mirror. At first I was skeptical because I felt it was a 2 man job because of the size of the mirror. Eddy handled this job like a true professional and showed me he could handle it alone. He was very careful with the handling of my mirror. He did his measuring repeatedly to make sure everything was correct, then he found the beams in the wall and marked them. He even had to move the hooks on the mirror over a half inch on each side so the hooks would reach the location where the beam measurements were located on each side of the wall. He did a fantastic job!! I am very pleased with his work and I would hire him again. Thanks Eddy!!

Project: Hire a Handyman
Eddy was a little late due to traffic, but he called to let me know this. We went over the several small jobs that I wanted to be done. He gave me a fair price and started working right away on the inside jobs first, then the outside jobs (even in the drizzly rain). He could not fix the mechanism for the front storm door, but I said I would order, and he said to give him a call, and he would come back to install, he would be in my area the next couple of weeks working on a job. I paid for all jobs today, including the one that needs the part. Eddy is an honest, hard-working young man. I will certainly use Eddy again. Eddy returned today to change the door opening mechanism. Jobs are now completed.

Project: Hire a Handyman
I hired him on a small job, as a test run. I thought it was ok, even though he had to run to Home Depot to get another part. He left behind a dripping pipe without saying anything, seemingly unconcerned while he was gone for more than 1 hr. Water trickled down to the first floor ceiling. All he had to do was shut off the main completely. Ok, I'll watch more carefully next time. Second chance - had him install some fixtures in the kitchen. He says he's done saying some parts are still good and no need to install everything that came in the box, but then they didn't look right with mismatches, let alone he didn't do what he was paid for. He agreed to come back to complete. He calls me from another job, after being late 3 hours, saying he is on the way. Never showed. I wasted an entire day waiting for him. Several days later, he texts me saying he is sorry, he had lost his phone on the way and that's why he couldn't come - didn't make sense, but whatever, I just wanted him finish what I paid him for. I texted him back asking when he could come, no response, it's been weeks. He is not very experienced, makes mistakes and his jobs seem to run longer than expected. He always seems to be running to Home Depot because he runs into problems. Overall, he never finished his project, and I find him unreliable and hard to communicate with. I cannot trust his quotes, he asks for more at the end. He is learning the trade on the job on even relative simple tasks. I won't use him again for my future bigger jobs, and I won't recommend him to anyone.

I had a terrible experience with Eddy services. I hired him to disconnect the gas stove. Scheduled an appointment three times but he never showed up. At 5:30p on the day of the last appointment he showed up in the driveway in my house. Eddy for 45 min with an adjustable wrench on his hand he was tightening and loosing almost all pipes in the basement but couldn't figure it how to shut off the gas, so couldn't disconnect the stove. Clearly can tell that he has absolutely no clue about this job. Paid him $55 on that day just for coming in. Next day my house did not have hot water, I figure it he must do something when he touched those pipes. Called and texted him but he never responded back. Hired another heating technician; he finds out the heat that goes to water boilers was turned off. The other technician disconnected the gas stove also in 5 min that Eddy wasn't able to do it in 45min the night before. Texted Eddy and explained what other technician find out in my house. After exchanges, few messages he admitted was his mistake. Asked him to pay back to me the amount I paid to another technician for a problem that he caused in my house. Eddy keep lying by texting and telling me every couple of days that he will drop off the check tonight and he never did. I cannot find the right words to describe him but I can only say that: Stay away from Eddy services, he is a big liar and not knowledgeable at all for his services.
Response by Eddy Services: Hello I'm not disconnect anything and you know you know that, you call me because you have emergency and I got over there there on Sunday , I left all my family for help you when I get there we try looking for register for shut the gas off , but we don't find anything I don't closet no register I don't touch anything you know that because you follow me everywhere I go in im hundred percent honest with you I say listen if you don't have the register here I can not do the job and I And I just charge from my visit and you pay me and I left after five days you call me and you say I did something in your gas stove I don't did anything , and yo

Project: Hire a Handyman
Few glitches early on with scheduling but once Eddy Services cleared up the other obligations and focused on the work, he did a really nice job with indoor and outdoor railings (safety needs). Also, because he was easily able to reassemble my front storm door early on, and fix the rear storm door ahead of Halloween (a key thing I wanted), I no longer needed to replace those so I had him do a couple other indoor jobs we needed while he was here. He cleaned up after all the work. I will hire again later for other jobs.
