Saela Pest Control- Seattle North

They didn't listen to us. They did not do the work properly. All they care about is money. They even continued to hound us after we moved and cancelled the contract.

We have been working with Saela (formerly Edge) pest control since September 2018. We hired them to inspect the interior and exterior of our 1600-square-foot home every 4 weeks to identify any deficiencies, or rodent activity, set traps and monitor bait stations, and alert us any time they identified issues. We have spent over $3000 to attempt to prevent an infestation. In January 2023, we began to notice tunneling along the exterior of the house and a loose piece of siding along the roof line that began to sag. We contacted Saela four times to get them to come out to investigate. They never followed up the first time; the other times they came out and inspected and assured us there were no problems. Between each visit, we noticed more tunneling and heard activity in the walls. Eventually, a supervisor came to inspect and found evidence of an infestation along the top of our heating vents. Saela then recommended a subcontracted full crawl space clean-out and exclusion service. After this recommendation, I decided to do my own inspection along the perimeter of the house to identify entry points. Their inspection techs missed giant holes alongside the front of our house, several holes along our chimney line, and one hole that you could see daylight streaming through from inside the crawl space. I have reached out to Saela to ask for reimbursement for services we did not receive, but they are not willing to issue even a partial refund. As a result of their inattention to potential deficiencies along the exterior of our house, we have also had to have duct work done and potentially been exposed to hantavirus from infected rodents living in our walls. The technicians we had that cleaned out the crawl space indicated that the severity of the infestation indicated that rodents had been present the entire time we lived in the house (5 years).

Not happy with their service agreement in locking customers for 1 year of service and charging early termination fee. Not worth it.

I wish I could give less stars but it is making me give one. the staff is misleading and unhelpful. They are inconsistent and untrained. They end chats without finishing to a resolution and they tell you one thing then transfer to another rep who does not fulfill the prior promises of their staff. Very unprofessional and disappointing. I have had to have a re-service after almost every single visit of theirs, if we didn't it's because it's too much work to set it up. They are the worst. Huge waste of money.

They make you sign a contract without your knowledge and then come every 3 months to rip off your money for a subpar 15 mins service.

Very professional and excellent communication

The single most important work was closing out the rat access points. Cody did a fantastic job sealing of the area. All my interactions with the service people were great. Courteous and professional.

Knowledgeable and courteous

This is a scam business. We set up service and agreed to the 9 services with the promise they would help with rat services, which we paid additional service fee for. We do not need any other services, we just had an abandoned house torn down next to us and the rats moved in immediately. We were doing a great job killing them, about 10 in less then 2 months on our own, but we thought the extra help would be worth it. On our second or third visit we were warned by the tech that they would try to sell us a custom built crawl space door. The tech told us to just say no. Well that guy came and talked us into it. And when he could not come through on his end of the contract, because his company wont do this install in concrete wall, we were canceled for rat service. So I paid a large forever rat fee that only gave us a couple services and only killed 1 rat and I am stuck in a contract for 2 years. So no I would not recommend their service and I am considering legal assistance as the contract was broke by them

They are very professional and even called me when they were 30 minutes away so I wouldn't have to get stuck waiting for them in the 4 hour schedule window. I am pleased with the work.

Great service

Overall good customer service. The tech was very thorough.

Overall, Edge Pest Control and their employees have been prompt and clearly explained the services provided for our property. I had one issue, while on vacation, in which I left specific instructions with Edge to call the house sitter to gain access to the house. The employee called me, while I had no cell service, was unable to access the property and completed only part of one of the visits. That said, I'm happy with the service and they were able to trap the critter in our attic.
