Ed's Handyman Service

This should have been an easy job...changing batteries in too high to reach detectors...obviously we have an issue with defective detectors even though they were all replaced in 2017. Ed was able to make the god aweful chirping go away in time for Christmas Eve. We have many jobs coming up in spring to get our too big home for empty nesters on the market. I will be relying on him for his expertise. Glad to have found him! Professional, friendly and knowledgeable. extremely fair on final nvoice. ,

Ed was great. He was friendly and patient. Before starting the project, he asked us thoughtful questions about our future plans for the space so that he could to how to best move forward (ex: hole placement in the wall). He also spent a lot of time answering our questions about potential projects we'd like to do in the future. We will definately be contacting Ed again!

I hired Ed to repair wood rot on the outside of my house. While reviewing the areas I wanted done, he pointed out other concerns. There wasn’t any pressure to include these additional areas. Ed’s recommendations on how to repair were exactly what I wanted. Ed and Ray started each day on-time and were there throughout the day. The chimney had a lot more wood rot than expected which required additional days. He continued the job without sacrificing quality. He said his next jobs would have to wait until this work was done. Another big plus for Ed. Ed showed me areas where the previous builder did not do thing’s properly. Ed did it correctly with high quality. He sent pictures showing what was done when I wasn’t available to see specific repairs before being covered up. Ed readily admits they don’t like painting. But, they gladly painted the chimney which I greatly appreciated since it was very high up on the ladder. Our interaction throughout the 4 days was superb. Ed gave me suggestions on how I could do some other repairs (e.g., fence repair) myself. I felt very comfortable with them being in the house as they removed a window to replace the sill. Ed is also cost conscious. The job extended 2.5 additional days due to the extensive wood rot. The final cost was well within reason. I already have projects identified for Ed next spring. He is now my ‘go to’ guy.

Built a half-wall with bead board exterior. Looks great, structurally sound, excellent value, and an innovative design that will make it easy to replace floor tiles at a later date. We were more than pleased with the professional quality of the finished product. Ed is also a great communicator, and very prompt with feedback. Will hire him again.
