We are only rating Ed for a spring yard clean up, his business may deserve higher ratings for other projects. Ed has a pleasant personality and did a fine job of pulling out weeds, removing algae, resetting our steps in mortar, and removing leaves and debris from our yard in May. However, he brought an assistant, Tony, who said that he had 16 years of experience in lawn and garden care. Tony cut our budding shrubs, which were ready to bloom, down from 4 feet to 1 feet tall, which is not what I had instructed Ed to do on his first visit. Other shrubs in the front of the yard on the edge of the sidewalk were hacked down as well. Ed did not give him instructions and Tony did not ask me about trimming our springtime blooming shrubs before they were butchered. I was very upset to see the condition of our beautiful 5-year-old shrubs knowing that there would be no flowers this year and that they would need to recover for at least another year. You would think he would know better than to prune budding plants down to a foot high in the middle of Springtime when they are ready to bloom!
