Do not use this company! Positive reviews on here have got to be fakes. Their LLC is now not renewed/revoked by the state of Virginia and they are now operating in Maryland!! Beware no matter which state you?re in. Short version: terrible communication, ruined yard, crushed edge of brand new driveway day of install and said ?it will wear in?, said weeds growing through asphalt 2 weeks later ?was normal?, driveway not smooth (bumps where they stopped between truck loads), definitely not the thickness they said it would be (3 inches even factoring in the rolling/compressing), weird areas of loose asphalt that are spongy when touched, valleys in driveway, sunken in and uneven areas, don?t follow/acknowledge their warranty and ignore you. Their website doesn?t work anymore (Virginia version) but the Maryland one does.

Responsible, honest, competent, and on time! Ed Smith Paving should be the only call you need to make. This company came in and repaired an incompetent job done by another paving company. The repair has withstood 2 years of constant use and looks brand new. They even came out and helped when they did not have to do it - what more can you ask of a company!

Timely and professional. Driveway looks great. Our only concern was with one of his crew who threw open paint cans and used tray in our outdoor trash bin and this same laborer somehow got paint designated for concrete on the ground 2 ft higher on the garage door.

My driveway was replaced after 22 years. Edward Smith and his crew were prompt, well organized and performed an excellent service! They coordinated their own Bobcat and dump truck to dig out the existing driveway and haul away the debris. Next, they graded the driveway and returned the next day to install and spread a new crushed rock surface. After that, they paved the new driveway with a robust 3 inch thick surface using their own paver while providing angled edges and ensuring smooth transitions with all existing concrete surfaces. Finally, they sealed the driveway with an oil based seal. The owner was present with the crew frequently during the entire job and made sure that, I the customer, was pleased with the work performed. Based on their performance, many other neighbors also had their driveways replaced in the following days. Reasonable price and great results... highly recommended!

Very clean and professional Finished in a timely manner Awesome job

Fly by night style, fast talker. I could not be at home while job was done. Said he was going to spray Round Up over the gravel prior to laying the pavement. Results: I have more grass growing in my driveway than I have on the lawn. Told him where to leave excess debris, some went at the designated spot, two loader bucket loads were dump in my neighbors wood lot. Asked Edward to extend asphalt pass a driveway gate, never did, yet he had excess asphalt which was put in with the debris. I had to removed 30 wheel barrels of gravel from the edges to bring the lawn area back to normal.

My new driveway is fabulous! I highly recommend this company.

This team is spot on . Showed up same day for a quote and did the work the next day. Very professional and will def have them do anything else i need. My driveway looks amazing!
