After other plumbing contractors did no shows I did a search and found Edwards Plumbing in top reviews. They answered the phone, scheduled an appointment and showed up. Their customer service was so refreshing, - up front, no fluff and showed integrity in the work they did. They did a dishwasher install, two faucet install and garden tub cartridge replacements.

We were promised a "hybrid heater". When they came w/o a hybrid, the owner told me "it is a kind of hybrid." That's sort of like being a little pregnant. After reviewing the online spec sheet for the heater they delivered (which had not words such as "hybrid, pump, or heat in it) we took the Rheem Marathon they provided at the "hybrid price." Installation was flawless. Trevor and CJ are awesome. I just don't do "doublespeak." I worked as a customer facing engineer for a Fortune 100 company for 25 years and I know BS when I smell it. Get what you are buying IN WRITING from any vendor! I just cannot emphasize this enough! I don't want to hear an owner response that my wife misunderstood. The owner misrepresented this unit to me on the day of installation and dudes, I was not born yesterday and I know BS when I smell it. He wanted to up the installation $400 for a recirculation pump they neglected to address in the initial quote. It was for "brass fittings." Hello? It would take about 40 brass fittings to cost $400 and I told the owner so. He didn't budge. I was so angry with the situation that they ended up installing the recirculation pump for free with, perhaps, $50 of brass fittings (and NOT $400 worth). That was a very nice gesture. Again, get IN WRITING what you are buying.

Contacted Edwards to come provide us with an estimate to run a new hot water line from laundry room to hot water heater and to rework the pipes that connect to the hot water heater bringing everything back to code. We agreed on a price but when final bill was presented it was more than we agreed upon by an additional $375. Rather than connecting all new pipes to an old questionable water heater we got a new water heater to connect to. When Robert and his son finished the work they presented us a bill $375 more than was agreed upon. I questioned the amount and was informed that was the price to install a new water heater. Their original quote included all new piping needed to connect to the water heater. By charging another $375 on top of initial quote I feel as though I was charged twice for the same scope of work. I understand it's their business and they can charge whatever they want. However I do feel that as a customer I should have been informed prior about the $375 additional cost. Therefore I could have had the choice to accept or reject the fee. This type of business dealing and billing practice is not what I would expect from a reputable business. When we agreed upon the price they should have honored it or got consent before increasing it.
