    Totally Professional.

2.0 Sally K. Portland, Ore, OR

    Too expensive.

    Response from Company:

Hi Sally, unfortunately I cannot find you in our system. Would you mind calling me at the office to confirm you were a customer of ours? I would like to discuss the rating you provided. Thank you. Merrit @ Einstein Plumbing, (503) 821- 4070

This shop charges flat rates for their work. This makes the bill extremely large if you have two small jobs or them to do. You get charged for two service calls. When I called to make an appointment, the receptionist would not quote me a price, but would only say that the technician would quote me the price. Upon arrival, the courteous and competent technician said I needed two faucet cartridges to repair the two shower problems. He quoted $314 for EACH shower. When I questioned him about the price, he said they were a flat rate shop. I could barely stomach the $314 for one, but the same price for the second was completely out of line for a $40 part at HD. Bottom line, I wouldn't recommend using a flat rate shop if you have more than one job to do, like I did. The Einstein office did not mention they were flat rate. Good repair technician, poor business model.

    Response from Company:

Most of Einstein's customers prefer our flat rate system. Our pricing is up front, with no hidden charges, and presented to our customer's before any work is started. Hourly companies could charge for hours of work for something that may take another plumber an hour or less to complete. Our flat rate system takes out these kinds of inconsistencies from each project, and lets our plumber focus on what is most important: fixing our customer's plumbing issues with quality workmanship. Besides Einstein's workmanship guarantee, our flat rate is another reason we have so many return customers. We also offer financing options, senior citizen and military discounts. Check out Yelp for current specials.

    5.0 Linda M. Portland, OR

The options for fixing my issue were explained thoroughly, the work was done quickly and when the plumber left you would never have known he was here except that my leaking sink was no longer leaking.

    5.0 Deen R. Mcminnville, OR

You get what you pay for. These people are very efficient, there was no waiting at all. We would highly recommend them.

    4.5 Diane H. Portland, OR

The plumber was friendly and explained what had been done once he was finished. I would call again if I had a plumbing problem. I am very satisfied with the work.

    2.5 Doug B. Portland, OR

I would recommend this professional but definitely get more than 1 quote. He did good work but it was very over priced.

    2.0 Brian H. Eugene, OR

They were only able to do a part of the job.

    4.5 Gary D. Portland, OR

Efficient, good work. They are an all electronic billing company, so have your credit card handy.
