Angi provided this contractor. I called them and they texted a quote. I spoke with an employee and we scheduled a time. I sent him pictures of the area and chandelier to install. I called them the day before and he indicated he would be here. He never arrived. I called again and finally got hold of him and he said I needed to call the office. After several message and attempts I finally talked to the manager. He said his crew was busy and it would take several months to get to my project. I could tell he did not want to do my project. They only quoted a few hundred dollars. Angi gave me another contractor and they did the job, it cost me double. I really do not trust this company, the manager was very rude and dishonest.

After posting an inquiry on Angi's on the morning of March 30, 2026, I received a quick response from Jacob Carmona with ElectriCity, LLC. I immediately asked about his rates and when he replied, "$120.00 - $150.00" he recognized my hesitation, so he offered to give me a FREE QUOTE, which I agreed to. Shortly after his arrival, Jacob proceeded to check the main panel and within minutes the lights were working again! After being in the dark for almost 30 days, my excitement overtook the fact that I had not GIVEN MY PERMISSION for the work to be done. Subsequently, I asked Jacob what his fee would be and he stated the trip fee was $130.00, and the cost for the NEW PART would be $45.00, along with an additional $25.00 for a fan job - for a total amount of $200.00. Check #152 in the amount of $150.00 plus two $20.00 bills, and one $10.00, equaling a total payment of $200.00. On Tuesday, March 31, 2026 at approximately 7:46 pm my LIGHTING ISSUE was no longer a thing of the past, as the initial issue WAS NOT RESOLVED! Further investigation of the cause for the return to darkness included checking the main panel, and as I checked it breaker it appeared that the old breaker was in the place where the NEW BREAKER was installed. Of course, the provider never indicated which breaker was replaced; I simply perceived it to be the device associated with my outages. Nonetheless, when I contacted Jacob with ElectriCity via text on Wednesday, April 1, 2026 explaining the situation that occurred the previous night he made no attempts to rectify the unapproved service he provided for the financial payout he earned. My statement to Jacob was this: "my concern is that you said you replaced the breaker with a new one and if that's the case, I should not be experiencing the same lighting issue". The lack of responsiveness from ElectriCity to multiple requests for a receipt/invoice along with the level of work performed by this Angi's List provider intensifies my lack of faith and trust in this system.

No one should use this bunch of idiots. I made clear to the company that I need lights changes 20 feet up. The person who was coming did not read the notes that it was a 20 foot ceiling and 20 foot ladder was required. I am now sitting her 45 minutes after the appointment was to take place with no service. I scheduled this when I had available time. Now they are not coming and I have no idea when they will come or if they will come. Do not hire them. As for Angie, it is obvious they do not do quality control or assure that those whom they recommend are actually competent. I regret using Angie to identify someone to hire.
