Major Home Repair (General Contractor)
Went through multiple project managers with differing levels of competency. Paid for plans and submitted them to the City. After the city review, more work was required on the plans and windows were to be ordered and a request was made for funds to pay for the additional permit work and windows which I paid. A few days later, they filed for bankruptcy. In the end, I was out around $10,000.

We signed a contract with Elite in December 2021. This company took over $30,000 from us and did no work. Of this $30,000, $10,000 was paid out in May 2022. Mr. Weems filed for corporate and personal bankruptcy in June 2022. So he filed for bankruptcy about a month after bleeding us for the last $10,000. I received an email on June 13, 2022, saying Elite had closed its doors. He named a lawyer, but did not provide a phone number. During this 6 month period, they changed project managers three times! This should have raised red flags.

Addition to Existing Structure Building Service
We hired Elite for a Master Suite addition, new garage, and game room, and remodel the entire inside of the home. We gave 50% deposit and 9 months later started our project only to continue asking for money. Every line item had a change order of a minimum 100% more. The owner was nonresponsive and changed office staff every few months. Needless to say after working on our home for 5 months they broke our contract. We pre-paid $60k for concrete and electrical. Thomas kept our money, spent it, and referred the contractors to lien our home as he was not paying them. He did the typical TOOK our MONEY and RAN.

Addition to Existing Structure Building Service
Do not use Elite Custom Homes Construction. Company has been very unresponsive over the last 7 months since the contract signing. At this point, we are demanding a refund since no work has been completed and no actual work start date provided. The owner hung up on us today when we asked for an update.

Major Renovation Multiple Room Service
We liked that there was an entire team of people with different roles who we could contact for any specific question or idea or issue. There was an app where we could track the progress and details of the project. There was a design consultant who was very helpful with ideas and knowledge of possibilities and where to find things. The crews were professional and courteous and did an amazing job.

The work that was done was completed faster than expected and all of the contracted people involved (carpenter, electrician, painter) were all professional, friendly and polite. His quote was lower than a friends by 15% but it was because he keeps his overhead down. Some of the work was done during evening hours and on weekends by professionals who worked side jobs with Elite Custom Homes.
