Did not finish the job, promised a refund and the owner/mother/aunt Donna H. supposedly wrote a refund check but I never received it. Very disappointed as a trusted Marcus, he was professional, nice, and polite, but in the end, I did not get what I paid for and am very unhappy. Also a lot more $ than I expected.

I want to rehire him

Responded quickly and finished project so quickly. Definitely on our return call list. Very happy.

Marcus did a great job! Very professional and explained work to be done.

This review is a supplement to a review that I wrote yesterday. In that review I remarked that Marcus of Elite Handyman Services did not return to install a grab rail for a shower stall. I subsequently learned that Marcus was involved in a vehicle accident and was unable to contact me. I would absolutely recommend Marcus and Handyman Services for any and all home projects.

He was initially very responsive but he has since that point disappeared despite being paid.

Handyman showed up within 2 hours the same day and did qualify work!!

The guy is unscrupulous/incompetent! First of all, he insisted that I had to give him cash to buy materials at Home Depot. So I gave him $40 and he comes back with receipt for $19.07 and tells me he will mail the $20 to me even though the balance was $20.93. Twelve days later, I have yet to receive the money so I sent him friendly reminder via text. He tells me, "I don't owe you s***!" I have all the text messages exchanged between us as evidence! Then he calls me and cusses me out and then hangs up on me. Mark spent almost 2 hours trying to install ceiling fan and thats with the help of his girlfriend! He then went to Home Depot twice to ask for help and still couldn't figure it out. I had another handyman finish the job in less than 30 min. I am appalled that Home Advisors has him on their handyman list!

He ripped me off $$ he never completed job . I asked him not to come back because of his actions.

Never ever hire this company! On Oct 11th last Sunday, Mark Parker(not sure is his real name) came to my home estimated and asked for $20 service fee, I agreed pay him $10, then we agreed $ 2010 total project amount, and then he asked for $200 for Project deposit, also asked for the check named wrote Donna Hankins name on, he said reason why because Donna Hankins is his Aunt business partner too. I did not think about that much and i trusted HomeAdvisor, after he left I checked his company background was not his. I knew I had been cheated, called and texted him canceling my check, it was Sunday at that day and next day was Monday (holiday bank did not open) so i kept called him few times he did not answer..., On Tuesday he still took my money... I called customer service he gave many reasons out of town bla bla bla,... Never got reply from him..... Finally, my advice everyone, very careful for what company you go to hire, and always hire license company do not let someone take advantage from you.

I have no idea how to pay my bill! I owe $25.00. HELP!

The problem is that at the end he said he needed his payment but had not given us a receipt, but promised to do it right away. We paid him, no receipt. I have no idea why he would not, he was recommended by home advisors. I asked please email, please take a copy, then asked me to meet him and never showed up. I need that for my expenses. That is why I gave this rating.

Handyman was very kind and knowledgable!
