Very prompt ,professional, , courteous and knowledgeable! . Could not do everything I needed done but could do the most important part of sealing my outside ductwork to prevent animals from re-entering my it from outside underneath my mobile home! I can get my internal vents cleaned at a later date

Jeremy was on time, immediately diagnosed the problem on my 20 year old system and went to get part. He proactively addressed some additional things and took the time to educate me along the way. I am one that does most things myself but time was not on my side on this one. I could not be happier with the service and price I got. I will be using Elmar Heating and Cooling again!! Highly recommend.

Elmar Heating and Cooling (Harrisburg) installed a full ductless mini-split heating/cooling system as well as a new hot water heater at my house. From assessment to install, I was incredibly impressed by their team. They tailored a solution for my house's needs at a great price and their craftsmanship is second to none. Brian was great. Came on time and was very knowledgeable with my questions. Really, it was just an inspection because my heat was acting up to check if anything was wrong, which it turned out there wasn't. But I had a lot of questions as I'm a new home owner, and Brian was very patient and knowledgeable with me. Will definitely use this company again.

I am so pleased with the service and work done by Elmar! They came out to my home within an hour of calling and the service professional was able to get my heat working quickly. I was surprised that he was able to fix it without charging me for equipment but they did advise if it didn't work what the cost would be to fix it, so I could prepare. Most companies would try to get the higher price upfront so I REALLY appreciate them wanting to save me money and keep me informed.

My appointment was 11am. The technician came at 0930 and I was shocked. He was professional and knowledgeable. Only thing was the technician didn't have a business cards or printed invoices. Will use them again.

Flue pipe had been leaking anytime I ran my heat, so naturally, I think it is an HVAC problem. The technician arrives and almost immediately knows it is not an HVAC issue but still lingers around and ultimately took apart the flue to find the remnants of a birds nest. Did not have any tools to check further up the flue so he just reconnected it and charged me $165 bucks for 5 minutes of work that I could have done on my own. Even demanded that I clean up the nest before he left my house, which is NOT okay when I am paying for a service. I am not your employee or child. Leak still happened the next day, so my neighbor came over with a long PVC pipe, cleared ALL of the nest that was still in the flue, and now the leak is gone. Moral of the story: do not charge people $165 when you know right away that the issue is not an HVAC issue. and then still hang around for 2 hours AND make any demands of your customers like they work for you. I will never use Elmar for a real HVAC issue if I ever need someone.

"We are so sorry to read that you were dissatisfied. We were trying to avoid charging you $99 and leave with out seeing if there could be something we might have done to correct the problem. We had the tech check your chimney cap, since a few days earlier it rained. That is when the tech told us he found a birds nest. So we quoted you $65 to clear the nest. Which you approved. We then tested the system and assumed everything was ok. Since the tech did not get any condensation during the 30 minutes he took to test the system. We then quoted you prices to fix your flue pipe that had rusted. Also to correct the way it is ran, between the water heater and furnace. Currently it is against code and is another reason you are getting condensation. You texted the next day and we recommended you getting a chimney company at that point. Especially since we assumed everything was clear and that you might have a bigger issue. We also informed you we could change the liner but we would be a lot more expensive. We are disappointed that we didn't get all the nest out. However, Glad you didn't have to pay any additional money, with another company. We are also disappointed to hear the way the technician dealt with clean up. He should have cleaned up the mess. We pride ourselves on outstanding customer service and making sure that we leave a customers home the way we found it."

I hired Elmar services to diagnose an issue with our heating system as well as perform regular maintenance on the system. There was no heat in zone 2 of the system which was the second floor. The tech showed up early and did not contact us to let us know that they were on the way. I explained in detail what the situation was and what I had tried so far. At the end of the visit, the tech stated that the valve for zone 2 needed replacing and later sent us a quote for $520 to replace the valve. I was not completely convinced the mechanical (labor intensive) part of the valve was the issue and decided to do some additional research. I learned that it takes around 15psi of pressure to pump water from the boiler in the basement to the radiator on the second floor. When I checked the boiler pressure it was only at 2-3 psi. I added water to the system to bring the pressure up and now the zone 2 heat is working again. This took 5 minutes to do and cost me nothing. This should have been checked by the tech as part of routine maintenance, which I now assume was not done as we were also not charged for it, or as part of troubleshooting the issue with zone 2. I still do not know why the system pressure was so low, but I will be looking for another provider to assess that problem.

"The call was for no heat on the second floor. When the technician arrived the boiler was operating and producing heat to the first floor. When he did check the pressures of the unit, the system was operating within specs. So the tech then moved on to find what could possibly be causing the issue of not heat getting to that area of the home. When he checked the zone valve, he could not get it to run manually or automatically. Hence the diagnosis. We are glad to hear that your problem seems to be fixed, however, you may want to have the boiler looked at further. You should not have, had to manually feed the boiler to get the pressure up. We appreciate the feedback and hope you have a warm winter."
