The Owen Group

We contracted with Don Owen ("The Owen Group") in spring 2023 for a deck and screen to be built in Fall 2023. They failed to accurately capture the HOA requirements, took 5 months to obtain a building permit, poured 6 footings and put down deck framing, and now it's been 3 weeks with no work and no response to phone calls, emails, and texts. Beginning legal procedures.

Absolute thieves! They were very responsive when discussing our screened in enclosure, and set a date about a month out for them to build it. We paid for half the project up front for materials, and waited. Day of the build came, and silence. We reached out, and Don said one of their builder's father had died, and pushed the project back a week. We contact them the new build day, and now they are saying they have the wrong materials. We tried to call them and text multiple times, both with their cell phone and office: no response. I did some research, this company has 4 names: The Owen Group, Bright Side Living, Southside Builders, and Anvil Aluminum Exteriors LLC. Combined, Dan and Don Owen came out to our house 3 MORE TIMES after we paid them, and did absolutely nothing each time. After no response for 48 hours from anyone, we did a charge back. If you search The Owen Group on the Palm Beach County Clerks website, you can see all the lawsuits against them. They are also being evicted from their storage space for not paying rent. Run, do not walk, from these crooks.

They did a great job.

Hurricane Irma took the ridge-line off of my roof. They replaced it. It went really well- quickly and efficiently - no problems. I've worked with a lot on construction companies, in my job, and I must say they are by far the best and most conscientious.

Iv'e used them on multiple project. The do the work on time and on budget.
