This is to rescind my previous review - and note my first Angi's fail.
Emerald Green Lawn has not scheduled work completion and is being unresponsive. I cannot reach them via email, phone or text (via Angi).
My initial interactions with this company were good - they were friendly and attentive, having slit-seeded my back yard and we actually saw some grass grow back there before the August drought took hold. I hadn't heard from the company since but did not expect to until September.
I had paid in advance for fall services (aeration, overseeding) and was looking forward to that process starting, but it is now October and all attempts to contact the company have failed. Having left an email, voice mail and a direct text (I had from previous correspondence) was to no avail. Calls are consistently routed to voice mail, and I have not received any return calls.
At this point, I'm unsure if I'm being ghosted by this company or they simply no longer exist.

Job was done right.The team of five worked well together. I enjoyed watching them work. They were polite, knew what they were doing and just did an excellent job. My wife and I were well satisfied with their performance My wife commented that she thinks the mulch looks great . Believe me for her to comment alone qualifies the team for five stars.

Lawn Care Maintenance and Mowing
After we clarified my preference for cutting to 4”, the service was reliable and consistent. EG did not mow when the grass was too wet. Leaves were mulched into the grass in the early fall. Overall, my yard looked like the second cut of rough at Muirfield Village.

This was one of the best experiences I've had.
I got several estimates and Emerald Green had the best price by far. So, I kind of expected that it may not be a perfect job, but I was wrong.
The work was immaculate. Everyone was so kind and I was able to work in the house the whole time they were here and not be disrupted.
I highly recommend them and look forward to working with them again.

Lawn & Yard Waste Clean Up
I was quoted for weed removal, weed mat, mulch, and weed prevention for several areas around the property .The crew of 5 showed up as promised . I talked with them to be sure they knew what was supposed to be done. I checked with them several times during the day. I thought that they were doing what I?d paid for . I bought them bottled water and tipped them $20 each . I realized a few days later that they did not apply weed mat to all areas , as weeds were already growing through the very thinly applied mulch . It took a couple of days of messaging to get the supervisor to understand that I had been taken advantage of and didn?t get what I?d paid for . They did come back a week later to finish the job. Nobody went above and beyond, it was just finished enough . I did find a shepard?s hook and an extension cord laying in the grass that they didn?t put back where they belonged .It could have been really bad if my husband had run these over with our lawn mower. "Thank you for your feedback. The guys started on Friday. They were unable to finish the project that day due to it getting late, so we scheduled to come out the very next working day, Monday. You messaged on Monday saying you were not home and you did not want the guys out until you were home, so we accommodated your schedule and came out Wednesday to complete. We finished it that day per our contract.If you are going to give us a review, all we ask is you put factual information in. Thank you !"

pros: Landscaping looks better. Crew was polite and respectful. cons: I was told I would be charged a % to get started but I was charged the whole amount up front. Some of the work was left unfinished. I had to redo a portion of the work that I paid them to do because it wasn't done properly. I have already sent my thoughts to Emerald Green through email. I did not receive an apology nor any offer of a refund for the work left unfinished or the work I had redo. Overall, the crew did the heavy work and it looks nice but I paid too much money for what was done.

"Thank you for your feedback. We have 2 forms of payment a 50% deposit and 50% due upon completion. Or you can prepay in advance and save 10%, Which saved you around $450 You wanted to save the most amount of money, so you chose to prepay the full amount as shown on the contract that I showed and sent to you. We spoke about additional work on top of the original proposal. You chose not to go forward with the extra work, so you were not charged anything and the guys stuck to the original contract."

I hired this company the first week of January with an anticipated day of service being Jan 14. Due to weather and temperature the work did not get done until March 14, and when I hired them there was no warning that this could happen. I paid up front and when they came out the workers were nice, but they only did about 2/3rd the agreed upon job and said they needed to bring a lift out to get the higher branches because they thought their ladders were tall enough but they were wrong. So the job was incomplete and despite saying they would email me a quote to bring a lift out I've heard nothing since. So I paid for a job, only got the easiest 2/3rd part of it done, and heard nothing since. I genuinely regret hiring this company.

"Hi Justin, unfortunately the first scheduled date we came out to work, it was snowing. We rescheduled for as soon as we had warmer weather, March 14th. We trimmed up what we could, but let you know we would need a lift to get the rest. We would also need to get into both neighbors properties. You let us know you would ask for permission. I did not hear anything from you, so I followed up March 21st, but your voicemail was full. We also reached out on Facebook and have not heard back from you."

Everyone at Emerald Green was friendly and professional from start to finish. We hired them to trim our out-of-control bushes, reset the bricks that line our gravel driveway, remove some leaf and patio debris, and weed and mulch several large mulch beds. A two-man team showed up promptly (after a phone call from Shane letting us know they were coming) and got the entire job done, and done right, in just over half a day. They were cordial, skilled, and communicative--eager to make sure we were satisfied at all stages. No loud music playing, respectful to both our property and our neighbor's property, hard-working and expert. Our yard looks 1000% better. My only regret is that I didn't hire them years ago.

Lawn Care Maintenance and Mowing
I have hired them to help mow the lawn. But they left a part of my lawn not mowed. I donâ t know whatâ s the reason, but have told the customer service about that. Next time they came to mow, that part was still left there. Also, I have never told when they will come to mulching as I had a contract with them in early April. Follow up: Shane contacted me and solved the problem.

The people were nice. Paid money felt like it was not worth the dollars paid. Truck was stuck in the yard; i now have ruts. Paid for flowers to be bought and planted, that were never bought nor planted. Out $600. A great vision was presented to me but the vision was not met.

"We Apologize for getting the truck stuck. We tried to make this right by adding topsoil, seed, lawn rolling, seeding areas that were not damaged, stump grinding misc. stumps,planting extra Salvia and clearing out several debris piles on the property line free of charge.There was some miscommunication over the several proposal changes throughout the project. I spoke with you prior to leaving, and then Upon final walk thru with your wife, we spoke about the cone flowers. I let her know that I would come back to install them. She said not to worry about it, if she wants Cone flowers she would plant them herself. We will post before and afters."
