Emergency Restoration of Houston

UNETHICAL BUSINESS!! This company took our $13,916 deposit and stopped responding to us!!! Their business plan is to swoop in, when people are stressed and vulnerable due to water and home damage, respond quickly to clean up the mess, then convince you to do the construction rebuild with them. They price gauge wherever they can, and do not give a quote until they know what you are getting from your insurance to make sure they squeeze every penny they can out of your claim. I assume the positive reviews are from people who got a lot of money from their insurance companies and know no difference. Al came into our home and assured us that we could be at ease, that they work with insurance all the time, and literally told me that we would not be paying a penny, and even encouraged us to do things that would have incurred more cost, such as moving out of our home until the project was complete. Thankfully we did not! Once Al and Kadeem did the clean up, they took our deposit. They brought a contractor named Will over, who talked as though he was going to do all the general contracting and send information on materials, but we never heard from Will again. Unfortunately, they were not able to keep to promises they made to us on adequately negotiating with our insurance. My husband put more work into that than them, and they added little to no value, communicating slowly and poorly. In the end everyone was disappointed at the amount we received from the insurance, but we were willing to go forward with the project. Al and Kadeem sent a quote with all kinds of errors and an increase on the first quote they had given us when we met with their carpenter, Erwin. We did what any reasonable person would do and got different quotes to explore options, while simultaneously trying to clear up mistakes made in Al and Kadeems quote. We were honest and up front and told them we were willing to clear up the quote or modify what work they did for us. This is when they stopped responding to our phone calls and emails. I had to use my childs phone so they would not recognize my phone number, to get them to answer. Spoke to Kadeem who told us Al would get to us by the end of the day. Never did. It became clear that since they can not get away with dishonest price gauging, they intend to steal our deposit. We told them we are contacting a lawyer, and they finally respond saying we owe them $5,465 for their quote and rendering, and for talking to our insurance. WTF?!! Since when do contractors charge for a quote and $5465. Never was this stated that these were charges that would be made. These guys are theives. Horrible!

We needed water extraction. The moment we contacted Emergency Restoration of Houston, LLC (ER), the first thing we noticed was that on the other end of the line was a reassuring voice and unpoint questioning that lead to asses our emergency we quickly felt that we were talking to someone that was was knowledgeable. We had someone, Mr Al Henry, at our home within a hour. Al, introduced himself, surveyed our damages, sat down at our breakfast table and began detailing what services he could provide us, and we must make a note that, then and only then did he ask us who our insurance agency was, and quickly helped us place the call to our agency, briefing us on what each terminology meant and how we could submit the claim. We felt NO pressure to secure his services but felt that Al, could and turned out to be trustworthy and he did not disappoint. The staff were always respectful and displayed professionalism in handling our home and showed genuine concern for ALL our needs. Throughout the time this company provided this service for us Al, and Kadeem (PM) stayed in contact with us throughout, any time f the day we needed calrificatrion till the completion of the restoration of our home. Kudos to this company and we pray continued success.
