Paid $6500 to have a new roof installed. Roof leaked in entryway after first rain. Called company and they came back and said they fixed leak. Roof leaks after every rain. Empire has been back again and they now want an additional $264 to replace flashing. The entryway did not leak before Empire installed roof.

Shawn Metts was very professorial with quote and not high pressure at all. The work was done quickly and the project was cleaned up nicely. The part that I did not like so much was the lack of communication regarding decking that needed to be replaced and the cost associated with it. It needed to be done, just would have been nice if that had been communicated. Other than that, it appears it was done right!

They contacted me because I had requested a referral on Home Advisors to address a leak that I had in my ceiling. Brenton came to my house and told me that they could certainly fix the leak. But I should let him inspect my roof. He then sold me an $8,000 roof that turned out to be a $12,000 roof. After I paid for said $12,000 roof, I had the same leak. I spoke to Patrick, who was rude and condescending. He said that there was nothing in my signed contract about fixing a leak. I signed a contract for a new roof and that is what I got. He went on to tell me that the leak probably had nothing to do with the roof and it really was not his concern. Well, I then spoke to Brian. He was a little nicer, but did concur with Patrick. He did agree to send Andrew to take a look. Andrew came and left. The next day he came back. And according to Brian, did "extension work to my siding and gutters out of their concern for me." He told me that they had to pull some of my siding off and do something and reattach it. I'm not sure because they never really consulted me beforehand. Well, thanks? NO, because now that siding has fallen off of my house. So, thanks but no thanks. Just beware that they just want to sell you a roof. Make sure if you think that they will fix a leak that it is spelled out in the contract. Because as I was told by Mr Oliverio "you signed a contract for a new roof, that is what you got. End of story." There is so much more that I could say, but i have to find someone to reattach my siding.

I am sorry to hear that your experience hasn't met your expectations. I understand that you initially intended to stop a leak that was occurring inside your home. This is fairly routine procedure for us. From the initial inspection, it was clear that your roof was in fairly bad shape, including missing shingles, and heavy wear. This lead us to believe your roof was the cause of the leak. Fortunately, this storm damage was covered by insurance, which we assisted with you in claiming. Unfortunately, the roof had skip sheathing, this required us to re-deck the entire roof, and this is not covered by insurance. This was unforeseen, and would have been required by anyone replacing your roof. There was nothing malicious about this as is inferred in the review, just an unfortunate reality. I'm sorry that you feel Patrick wasn't as nice as he could have been. It is understandable that you would be surprised and upset to see a leak when your roof had just been replaced. This is a touchy situation, and difficult for both parties. In the rare instances there is a leak after our install, we always respond and inspect them. The reasons for these leaks are usually one of a few different things. We did inspect your roof at this point, and it is installed properly. Brian did find multiple issues with improper installation of the siding on the property. The siding was installed over asbestos tile with no vapor barrier, improper flashings, and improper terminations. It has been since made clear that it was not a professional installation. Brian discussed this with you beforehand, and we put our best foot forward to make a repair in the area of the leak. We cannot be held responsible for other peoples work. That being said, this review is the first we have been made aware of a loose piece of siding. Since then we have tried to reach with no response. Please advise. We hadn't heard anything since we did the repair, so we had the understanding the leak had stopped. Thanks, Mark Taylor.

Great job on the roof with A+ Customer Service. There were some things that needed to be addressed and they addressed the issue very quickly. The issues were cosmetic.
