How We Got Started

I chose to work in this industry because my Uncle was a pool builder and he used to bring me on jobs was I was just a kid.When my brother got old enough he started to bring him on jobsites also. After we got old enough to drive and go out on our own he taught us the service side of the business. When my Uncle retired he advised us to go out on our own and a start a service company. All the intergrity and workmanship he taught us really helped us to suceed with our own company. My brother and I always talk about how our Uncle set us up perfectly to suceed on our own. It has been almost 20 years since we went on our own and we have never looked back. We now have an app to run the business that was designed just for our needs. All our techs work off an i-pad mini in the field so they can take pics of anything needed for future repairs. Those pics get sent back to the office instantly so our office can give price quotes and schedule any future work needed ASAP. .

Empire pools called me right away and scheduled an appointment to come and shut down my pool that same week. We agreed on the price and I received text message reminders about the upcoming apportionment. 4 guys came when promised; they were quick and knew what they were doing. The only thing that I am disappointed about is when I told them that a few leaves fell into my pool and I would like for them to get those out prior to placing the tarp on the pool; they told me that they don’t have the necessary equipment with them but when I offered for them to use my net and or my robot they said that they were in a rush to leave and couldn’t clean the leaves out and worst case I would have to call the office and reschedule the pool shut down. I ofcourse told them that I’ll pay extra to have those leaves cleared but they still said that they were in a rush; We still shut down the pool with the fallen leaves in it. When I got the invoice it showed that they put down that they spend 2 hours here for the job and they spend at most 45 min here. I just feel like a licensed pool company should have certain equipment on their trucks especially something as simple as a pool net and also if they billed for a 2 hour job why did they refuse to do the cleanup and said they were in a rush to leave after 45 min?

They called within 10 minutes. Got an appointment for closing the pool in a week. They also called to let us know when they would be arriving and came within 15 minutes. Price was right. They were very professional and put everything away for us. Very pleased with Empire.

Overpriced, and unwilling to provide in writing the pool filter was guaranteed for five years as he had promised in a text when I decided to hired him. I also paid him by check but the receipt he emailed me was missing the tax. He called me a **wise a** ** after I confronted him about these issues.
Response by Empire Pools, Inc.: We quote all prices before we sell any product or service. This customer agreed to all our prices but now says it was over priced. if we tell you the price before hand and then you agree to pay the price is it fair to say you are unhappy with the price paid after the job is done?? Due to COVID we send only email invoices to limit interaction with customer. This customer was upset that we did not provide a paper invoice. For some reason he did not understand it was for safety We confirmed for the customer several times that he had a warranty he just left this review because he was very upset for some reason that we only send emails due to COVID restrictions. We also would never use foul language with a customer that is not a a accurate portrayal.

Rushed job hoses broke fixed it myself
Response by Empire Pools, Inc.: We followed up with this customer several times. He never replied and never gave us a chance to come back to fix whatever he needed. We always come back if there is a issue. Read our other reviews to see other customers experiences. We are sorry this customer chose to leave a bad review instead of letting us come back and turn a unhappy customer into a happy one.

I was pleasantly surprised by the level of service Empire Pools provides. They are consummate professionals . It is a pleasure to book an appointment and have them give you in-depth details of when they are going to arrive and even more rare, calling before they arrive. I have used them to both close and open my pool. They consistently showed up when they said they would and they went above and beyond by replacing minor damaged components from the winter and not trying to over-charge for it. I have genuinely enjoyed my experiences with them and cannot recommend them strongly enough.

I ve used this company 2 years in a row now for closing my in-ground pool. The lead tech Rob was very knowledgeable and professional. They arrived on time and started right away. They winterized my pool and put the cover on in an hour. Highly recommend this company.
