Kristen was not nice at all, a third party was paying. She was adamant, almost harassed to get payment, which was mailed the following day. The estimator assured me that rebates were available. Afterwards, well rebates were not what were said. Then rebates paperwork was never followed through upon. Still waiting.

This project began as a simple installation of batt insulation in the floor joists above a 700 Sq. Ft. crawl space. Energy Geeks was the second contractor to come for this estimate. Unkike the first, Nick was recommending a complete crawl space encapsulation, which is not what I was shopping for. Since I was immediately questioning this, without any hard sell Nick suggested some online searches for me to do. So, that afternoon began my education. This "new science" (2008?) of insulating a crawl space no longer seems to include batt insulation of any kind in floor joists. But rather sealing vents to the outside and encapsulating the space so that it is in the same "thermal envelope" as the rest of the house. We had the job done yesterday. Now, this new non-vented-to-the-outside space should remain near the same temperature as say a room you keep the door closed and the register barely open. I could tell a difference the first night and we are looking forward to our warmer bedroom this winter. Nick and Energy Geeks made this a really nice installation in a much shorter time than I expected. Very clean and courteous crew. Before the project during my self-education Nick was very nice about answering my and my wife's MANY questions. Not that I am an insulation engineer or expert, but this was all new thinking and not what I had been pondering and planning for several years...but I wanted to do what was really the correct thing to do. Here in our pretty dry Colorado climate this installation is much easier than some I saw during my research in the humid Midwest and Southeast states. The Energy Geeks' proposal was surprisingly very close to the first company that was only going to stuff the floor joists with insulation, but originally that was what I was asking for.

It was helpful that during the evaluation process, they were able to come on weekends. Additionally, they are Xcel certified so we're hoping receive an energy rebate.

They were a bit higher than others but they use treated cellulose. Do independent Reaser check and you find cellulose performs better in retaining R value at very cold and very hot conditions, doesn't settle like fiberglass, isn't as likely to be "over-fluffed" during application so you get what u pay for here. Fiberglass installers will push-button it is dirty, or will burn, or...fact is none of those are true and it is safer if you have to deal with it.. I hope all those points are proven especially that it is more air sealing and pest resistant and maintains R value better.

I contracted with Energy Geeks to perform an Energy Audit (highly recommended) as well as to blow in cellulose insulation in my attic. This is my first time working with a company on Home Advisor and I honestly couldn't be more pleased now that the work has been completed. Jason provided me with a comprehensive quote after our initial consultation and then took the time to review it with me. He also performed an Energy Audit on my home and explained what I could personally do to help the situation as well as what they'd be doing during the air sealing/insulation installation. This was all new to me so I appreciated that very much. The job was completed on Monday of this week and although it's been warmer than normal lately the difference was immediately noticeable. Energy Geeks even let me know that I qualified for an Xcel Energy rebate and they submitted the paperwork for me. If you're looking for a legit, honest company for your insulation needs these guys are it. The pricing was more than fair, the communication was top notch, and their professionalism was way more than I expected. I wish every contractor were like this!

Energy Geeks did an amazing job and everyone was great to work with. I was on a very specific time frame to get my new home insulated, and Nick and Steve were awesome! They were very understanding and went above and beyond to work with me even though I had to change the date on them more than once due to new home construction issues. That is what I call wonderful customer service! They came out to the house to give me a quote within just a few days of my initial contact with the, and the quote they gave me was very reasonable. I highly recommend their services!

This job was to insulate my 24' x 24' x 10' garage, and had 2 portions: the insulation step, then installing drywall over the insulation, including in the ceiling. The insulation step went fairly well, with only two minor issues. The insulation team, who were Energy Geeks employees, showed up on time and were efficient in getting the netting up and the insulation blown in. One issue, an overlooked area above the garage door, was easily insulated using standard roll insulation. The drywall step, handled by a subcontractor, was not so good. The main issues were: - I was asked to spend an entire day at home, waiting for sheet rock to be delivered that never showed up. Even the next day, after multiple promises, it was late for delivery. - The drywall workers left my garage a mess. There was scrap material (insulation, sheet rock, screws, nails, plastic film) scattered around inside and outside the garage that I had to gather up and dispose of. - No drop cloth was used; the entire garage floor was covered with drywall dust and dried splotches of drywall mud, which required me to get on my hands and knees to remove using a putty knife. They didn't even sweep it out when they were done. - The drywall workers did not re-install the ceiling lights in the garage, which they had taken down. - The drywall workers removed the sensors, the wall switch, and all the wiring for the garage door opener, but did not replace any of this. Instead, they piled it all on top of the opener motor for me to find later. All of these issues were the fault of the drywall installer. To the credit of Energy Geeks, they took responsibility for the problems, and took time to discuss these issues with me at length over the phone. They sent someone out to reinstall the ceiling lights and the garage door opener switch, sensors, and wires. However, mopping and cleaning up the dried mess on the garage floor took me the better part of two days - this is why I can't score the review any better. Having said all that, I would definitely recommend this company to others. Their responsiveness and ownership of the problems caused by the drywall installers is very refreshing in this age of "not my fault." They told me they wouldn't be using that particular drywall contractor again, and I believe them. The Energy Geeks are professional and thorough; they care about their work and strive to earn, and keep, their reputation. They gave me a reasonable estimate for this work, and stuck to it. Now I look forward to being able to work in a warm garage during our cold mountain winters!

We had a great experience from start to finish. When I called they suggested a full energy audit which was an awesome suggestion. We found some additional things that could help our home and got some great information as well. Everyone was friendly and helpful throughout.
