Update: I attempted to call Energy Star back after one of the outlets they installed exploded in a shower of sparks in my face, leaving scorch marks on the side of my house. After multiple voicemails, including one where I explicitly told him I was not expecting them to do any work for free, they never even bothered to respond. I understand if he was too busy to take the job, or if he simply did not want to work with us â ¦ But a failure to respond when one of your customers reports a serious issue with your previous work is unacceptable. The electrician who ultimately fixed the problem confirmed the problem was caused by work done by Energy Star (insulation was torn from some wiring resulting in a short). My previous 5 star review (summarized below) has now turned in to a 2.5. While I may still recommend Energy Star if asked. I have serious concerns about their willingness to follow up after the fact. Original: After working with other electricians and individuals who refused the job, or coming up with comparable pricing, but no one who was willing to actually show up... I ended up going with Energy Star. They showed up when they said they would. They were communicative. They were a pleasure to deal with. They were friendly and kind and treated my property with respect. They were great, even when I am sure WE were a bit of a pain to deal with. They handled changes when we requested them, they were fair on the pricing for those changes, and they were not pushy when it came to payments.

He and his assistant were very professional. They replaced three ceiling lights, one of which was over a 20-foot foyer, fixed a light problem in the garage, replaced a broken doorbell, replaced two smoke detectors and reinstalled a socket on a patio wall. We couldn't be happier.
