It all started with a vision. The property I purchased for my rv was in a new development in the mountains of Murphy, NC. I had definite ideas of what I wanted and went on an extensive search for the right company to do my work. I landed on ER Walls and upon my initial meet with Art in their Murphy office an immediate connection was formed. The next day Art showed up to discuss the scope of work. Little did I know what was about to take place. The first thing he did was launch his drone to get a good overall view of the property, which he would later use to give me a complete rendering of the proposed work. We discussed the options, but what really stood out to me was the knowledge Art brings to the table. I had erosion problems and he came up with a great solution, so grading and a retaining wall was first on the list. I wanted a 35 x 10 paver patio, so again recommendations were made and a decision was made. Next I wanted a 14 x 24 deck built, the back 12 feet was to be elevated 10 feet up off the ground in the sloped area along my tree line of the property for my screen room to sit on. I wanted the feel of a tree house and once again no problem, Art had a solution and that was added to the list. Next on the list was my fire pit, but the challenge there was the elevation. I was definite where it needed to go, but the slope of the land posed challenges. Art said "no problem" and with that said the site was excavated and the fire pit was installed. I was wanting sod and landscaping which meant I needed irrigation. we discussed the layout and irrigation was added to the list. Next was grading and leveling for my rv pad along with 2 drive ways that needed to be installed. I also wanted metal edging along each of the drive ways and along the road to border the gravel and sod, which the guys did an excellent job on that as well. I was on site for the entire project watching his crew bring my vision to life. His guys are nothing less than amazing. I gave them a blank canvas and they went to work every day proving to me I made the right decision. Art and his crew were very professional and kept me informed about everything they were doing and why. They replaced my rail road timbers with a brick wall. They had to replace the support structure for my living room and under the guidance of a professional engineer. I would not hesitate to employ them again or to recommend for structural projects of any size.

We thought we needed a retaining wall to keep our gravel driveway and parking area in place. Once we met with Art and Paul, they identified our problem and proposed drainage solutions. Instead of a resting wall, we were able to concrete our large parking area, Paul and his crew removed the old gravel, did proper grading, and installed buried drainage. They installed rebar and poured our new parking area. Paul was very easy to work with and kept us well-informed throughout the project. He was great about any changes we needed as things went along. After the concrete work was finished, they completed final grading of the surrounding yard, then placed seed and straw. Lastly, they replenished and compacted our long gravel driveway. Our place now looks amazing thanks to ER Walls. We got a far better outcome than we ever dreamed. Every step of the process was professional and Art, Paul and the crew were great. I hired Engineered Walls to replace worn railroad tie retaining walls and properly rebuild walls supporting a fire pit area set into the hill below our home. Art was a great help during the design phase and his team was able to complete a couple of other projects including installing an unground propane tank while they were onsite. I hired Engineered Retaining Walls to remove a failing railroad tie stairway and retaining wall. The rebuild plan called for multiple, designer concrete block retaining walls and steps, to include several concrete pads. Art talked me through the process, making it easy to understand. We hired Engineered Retaining Walls to construct a series of Retaining Walls to establish a strong and permanent foundation for a 27 foot by 7 foot combination hot tub spa, swimming / plunge pool and patio entertaining area. The best available area was on a hillside in the front of our mountain home. Art Miller and his team of professionals met with us several times to determine what our desire and plan for the project included. ERWalls staked out a construction area, performed a detailed LIDAR elevation survey of the topography and staked out a plan. Before beginning ERWalls.com helped us determine the scope of the project to ensure it was well understood. Once construction began, an ERWalls supervisor discussed every step and worked up agreeable solutions to each problem encountered. ERWalls completed the project in time to support the start of installation of the Swimming Pool without delay and worked with the Pool Contractor to build the walls and patio to complete the project without delays.

We hired Engineered Retaining Walls in Murphy, NC, to fix two railroad tie retaining walls that failed. This is a new house that the original building contractor failed to use the proper materials and engineering practices. As we got into the demolition of the walls we found that the railroad ties were rotted and failing. We also found that the house foundation was not properly sealed from moisture and the whole foundation had to be dug out so the proper drainage and stone could be put back in place for proper engineering standards. The work that was performed by ER Walls was excellent. They documented the whole process so we have the pictures and information for the home builder. We want to thank Art, Ryan, Steve and the ERWalls Team for the great work and explaining the whole process to us.

We were advised to contact Art Miller, CEO of ER Walls for his help to rebuild our failed wall. Art received our call and immediately came to our home to access the problem. With the help of Art and his staff, we developed an ongoing plan of action. They were very professional in their approach and were exactly what we needed to resolve our problem. After the engineering study, done by Dennis Huckaba of GEO Services was complete and the plans agreed upon, they started the rebuild. Jacob, the engineer with Geo Services assigned to our job, made periodic visits to our home to monitor and give approval on the construction of our wall. We agreed with the estimate to rebuild that Art had given us prior to construction. We cannot express how happy we are with the outcome. Not only did we resolve to rebuild the wall, but it also improved our property value at the same time. Art and his staff, with lead builders, Phil, Anthony and Ayden completed the wall. Completed our shoreline stabilization on Lake Blueridge. There is no access for heavy equipment through our property so every thing can by barge on the lake, all stone and equipment! No disruption to our landscaping. Phil and Steve moved the huge bolder with escalators in precision. It was fun to watch! They were friendly and respectful. Art worked hard to understand what we wanted and the clearly communicated it to team. Such a relief to have the shoreline protected and with no disruption to our property! They are conscientious and use a lot of technology to determine the right way to do the project. They care and want to do it right. They have our recommendation.

Hands down the best business in town. I have to say they provided the best workmanship and customer service when they built my retraining wall.
