Write a ReviewEnvirobate did a great job on our basement walls---the concrete block looks new! The technicians were very professional and left the site cleaner than it was when they arrived. Communication with our salesperson was excellent, and responses were very timely. I highly recommend this company.
It was extremely stressful to have asbestos found in my lower level after flood damage. Having your house torn up is no fun. The guys from EnviroBate took away so much of that stress! They were so understanding, so professional, and so considerate of my time. The repeatedly accommodated my need to access various areas of the house in the midst of their work. They worked around multiple issues at my home and were so careful with my animals. One guy (Darin) even fixed my garage door and carried down a very heavy container of food for my animals. He also asked if their equipment would scare the animals and had me monitor the animals while he turned on various tools to make sure the animals wouldn't freak out. These guys are great and I'd highly recommend them!
The specialists sent by the company were extremely knowledgable and were so careful and neat. I was very pleased with the entire project and recommend them highly.
Great
job is done
I am deeply disappointed with Envirobate as the agreed upon pre-cautions were not taken throughout the job. Envirobate was hired to demo a kitchen floor that included a layer of asbestos containing vinyl ( in the backing of the vinyl). The agreed upon scope included removing the top layer of tile, the layer of vinyl beneath it, and the underlayment the vinyl was adhered to. After the first day, the job wasn't fully completed as agreed. There was a significant margin of underlayment left around the kitchen cabinets. The vinyl had been removed, but there was backing/glue stuck to the remaining underlayment. The asbestos was in the backing of the vinyl, so there was no way of knowing if the remnants stuck to the underlayment contained asbestos or not. The remaining board had to be removed as the new wood flooring was to be laid on the sub-floor in order to be flush with the surrounding floor. All plastic/tenting had been removed at the end of the first day and the site was clean (very nicely done). I called and spoke with Marcus - he was very accommodating in getting a crew to come out that day to finish the job. We discussed on the phone that if they had to use a saw, I wanted the room tented with negative air pressure to avoid any possible asbestos containing dust from contaminating the area, HVAC system, etc. He told me that if they had to saw, they would do that. However, that was not done. They had to use a saw to demo the remaining floor but DID NOT tent the area and use negative air pressure to control the dust. When we got back in the house to clean up, there was a significant amount of dust in the lower cabinets where they had removed the remaining board. A third part, the floor installer, was in the house at the time Envirobate came back to finish the demo and he confirmed they did not take the agreed upon pre-cautions. I hired abatement professionals because I wanted the piece of mind to avoid wondering if asbestos containing dust had gone through out my house. Sadly, that's exactly what I'm left wondering. To add insult to injury, the second demo crew took huge divots out the toe-kick under the cabinets and left us a significant repair job. The first day of the job was great - very clean. If only the job had been completely finished as agreed on the first day - or if the proper time had been taken to set the site up correctly the second day - a lot of customer misery would have been avoided.
Was done in one day
Thanks for taking the time to write a review, it was a pleasure working with you! Thanks for the great feedback.
