    I received two other estimates before contacting Home Advisor and thus Rene from Environmental... I knew from the moment that I spoke to Rene that I liked him and would most likely hire him. He was presentable, listened to my ideas and then offered up some of his own for what he thought might look nice and work well for my project. He spent at least An hour here, taking measurements and plotting the job and returned the following day with his estimate. Rene was definitely not the cheapest however he was definitely the most thorough, precise and professional... He busted his butt over the next two weeks and knocked it out of the park! I will most certainly hire Rene again and will recommend him to my friends and family without a doubt... Thank You Rene!

    Rene was easy to work with and truly wants to do the best job possible. He is educated in all things soil and sod! Our lawn looks great and we appreciate his follow up visits to check on his masterpiece! We are blessed to have worked with him and would recommend to all.

    To good to be true, and it was. We were quoted a decent price for two patches of sod total area less than 1000 square feet with under the grass drip lines. Work was done by Renee alone and he seemed to be annoyed after we asked a copy of the drivers license since we prepaid a large sum. Immediately afterward the grass, just new, looked great even though my wife noticed that for a part he used very small (left-over) patches of grass, probably so he could use the bigger pieces somewhere else even though we paid for them. He set-up the watering schema twice a day every day. After his works the waterpressure was much stronger in the house, I mentioned that to him. He measured the waterpressure probably while the main valve was not completely opened. Renee was supposed to come back after 2 weeks but didn't show up. Because we have a dense clay ground here in Costa Mesa that drains poorly the watering schema caused the grass to turn into a swamp. I switched off the main valve so the grass could dry out a bit and finally Renee showed up after repeatedly texting. I told him that I switched off the main valve. He changed the watering to 3 times a week (twice a DAY). 10 days later the grass turned yellow/dead especially in the area where he had used these very small pieces of sod, I found out that he had NOT switched the main valve back on, so after over watering it now was bone dry. After I texted him again and after some non-responsiveness (that seems to be normal for him) he asked for photos. He told me via text to use fertilize which I did and of course I switched the main valve back on. The grass worsened and after repeated request he finally showed up one more time. This time he showed pretty aggressive behavior, blaming me for not listening to his instructions and that this not listening caused the grass to have Brown Patch decease. He left being a rude prick and I never heard from him again. After reading a bit more about Brown Patch, it is crystal clear to me that the watering schema was the problem, once every other day very early in the morning does wonders, with his setting the grass never dried up and the fungus took hold. I now need to redo a substantial area of grass. This guy is very unprofessional, aggressive and has very poor communication skills. Instead of solving the problem (I was able to do it myself eventually) he became aggressive and never heard from again.

    Rene was a pleasure to work with, he is honest, hard working and did an excellent job. He went out of his way to do a few extra things I wanted done and the pricing for the work done was very reasonable. I would recommend him to anyone considering any sprinkler system/sod install/landscaping needs. I will definitely use him again in the future.

    Installed new timed 4 valve sprinkler system and ice 900 sq feet of St. Augustine sod. Had a great detailed bid on job. And had good recommendations for my flower beds, which he added irrigation to. Above and beyond bid. He is following up for next 3 months to insure grass has settled in rooting. Will stay on assisting me with landscaping. Rene is through and great to work with. Looking forward to a continued working relationship. 714 728 4084

    They have just started project. So far they have showed up on time, and everything is going as planned. Rene is very nice.. Explains everything that is going to be done.
