They were great in helping us designing our dream kitchen. We were very particular with the design and they listened well to our ideas while also giving their own input. The crew who handled the whole work were very detailed, diligent and professional. Always prompt for work and when an issue came up, they resolved it quickly! The pricing was fair for the quality of work done so it was all good. A big thanks to this company for their excellent service!

Ensure they stick to the contracted items. In our case, they installed an off-the-shelf sliding glass door with a cost of approx $500, when the contract was for a high-end door worth more than $2,000. After calling them on it, it took weeks to get the right door in, and they stated "they did not know what was in the scope of work/on the contract". Really? Second, their electrician placed multiple GFCI's in line on one circuit, which is not to code. Third, they were going to hardwire our dishwasher, which has not been allowed by code for over 5 years. How would you not know that as a general contractor that does nothing but kitchen and bath remodels? Unreal. Fourth, and back to the electrical. We had multiple electrical outlets wired wrong causing arcs and melting the ground on one of them. They heard the pop but did not know what it was. I discovered it later that night when the electricity went out. Fifth, and yes it gets better (actually worse), their electrician shoved live 220 VAC into our wall with no caps or disconnection at the main breaker panel, and attempted to drywall over it. Another case of doing work not to code. Sixth, they tried to install a different model and brand of garbage disposal that was considerably cheaper than the one stated in the contract. Once again, they stated that they did not know that was in the scope of work/in the contract. Cabinets were delivered with damage and multiple missing cabinets to boot. Once again, did not read the contract and packing slip, citing that it was an office order issue. They attempted to hang drywall that had been rained on inside our house that was not even green board. Are you kidding me? Their license was suspended for not paying their bond. As you can see, not a well-organized business or owner, and was never apologetic and did not think these were a problem. Let's see, their famous line is: "No worries, we'll take care of that." Yeah, right. Clean up was a real issue, as they left nails and construction debris everywhere, even causing me to get punctured by two of them while walking on my back porch and in the house. If they would like to dispute any of this, well, bring it on because I have photos and texts from them indicating this. Their electrician's lack of attentiveness blew a main fuse of our A/C compressor, which led them to finally fire him, but not just for that. He had his girlfriend and others in our house doing work that was not supposed to be at our property or not even on their payroll or subcontractor pool. The project took weeks longer than expected and their GM quit two weeks. Both the GM and owner spoke to me or texted me with nothing but bad things to say about each other. This organization not only breaks the California code and international electrical codes but breaks every ethical code and promise you can think of. If I were you, pay a little more for a more reputable organization, as it would be worth it. Don't worry, there is more but this should hopefully paint a picture of a remodel with too many issues. By the way, stucco and paint still not done on the exterior. Great I say, great!

It was hard for me to find someone fit for the job since I am very busy at my work. Luckily, Envision Design is not only fit to get the job done, they are also the best when it comes to bathroom remodeling. Plans were created, they started working on the scheduled time and the result was so much better that what I had expected. Thank you Envision for the great work.

This was a kitchen re-do from hell. They took advantage of me because I am a woman and of a different ethic background. It was very poor management no supervision. The project manger (Rob Webster and Owner is Thomas Gash) does not supervise. They used my bathroom towels to clean up the mess they created. The measurements were not done correctly. The plumbing is not flush to the wall and there is no water in the kitchen sink after 9 weeks. They replace the fire detected without installing a battery. The Refrigerator does not fit in the space that it was designed for and they used a water hose for the water line. The cabinets were not aliened correct. They did not get a permit for the gas line and did not show me proof of license. They told me it was my responsibility to get the permit, but it was only after the fact. There are so many things wrong I could go on and on. it is 6/25/18 and my kitchen is not finished, My gas range is not working, Microwave not installed and the lazy suzanne is not installed. If anyone hires this company please take time off from work to supervise their work. I d not think they hire licensed and certified electricians and plumbers, because after they finished the electrical and plumbing I had to hire an Electrician and local plumbing company to fix the problems they created and had to pay out of pocket. Terrible company

On July 26, 2017, I met with Mike, the project designer and estimator for Envision Design. Previously I had furnished my written requirements, like board, copper plumbing, etc. He assured me that they used only the finest materials, purchased directly for distributes, no hardware store quality. Items he emphasized were tile, bathtub and shower pan. Initially a start date of August 7 was set, later he said it could slip to August 14, but no later. The house was occupied so the bathroom had to be done sequentially. With their extensive work crew each bathroom could be completed in a week. On July 27, I was required to issue a check for over $4,700 so the materials could be ordered. He gave me his business card assuring me he would always be there if any problems were to occur. Nothing, not even a phone call was received the week of August 7. This continued so on August 16 I call Mike, the receptionist answered stating Mike would call me back, he never called. During the project cycle, I called Mike 5 times, texted 6 times and email 2 or 3 times. He never responded to any of my requests. After he got my first check, everything changed. After several calls, the project finally started on August 23 and was completed September 22. There were numerous week days (Monday to Friday) when no work was done. The shower was the first thing replaced. The shower pan was installed on August 25. The deluxe shower pan, that my July 27 check for over $4,700 paid for ,was delivered to the house on September 18 which a workman promptly hauled off. The installed shower pan is a standard model that was purchased at the local hardware store. The board specified in my original requirements was not used for the shower walls. A cheaper product was substituted . A study proved that this substitute produce is 46% faster to install, cutting labor costs, another way to increase Envision Design profit margin. At the same time plumbing was required. Their recommended plumber's bid seemed unreasonable. Obtaining 3 other bids for the same job, all were considerable less. I saved well over $1,000 by not using their recommended plumber. The one thing that Envision Design is very timely on is collecting their progress payments. I was intimidated/browbeat, by the owner, over the phone into making one payment prior to the work being started. I was basing the progress payments due on the statements Mike made on July 26, 2017, that is work completed.
Response by Envision Design: I will let the company answer any questions regarding production or payment issues which are not my departments but since you want to bring my name into these comments I will address this properly with you so you can recollect our previous meetings and how things were to take place. You were provided a detailed scope of work from me which you signed off on and I worked with you on making all your material choices for your bathroom which you signed off on everything before we started which is my job position here. I explained to you that once your project started all your questions would be with your production manager, your several calls and text to me which I was not in town where all production related and once I received those I passed them onto production who responded regarding all your questions. I could have not explained this more in detail than I did in the beginning and I do apologize if you did not understand the steps and contacts that where to take place but this was laid out to you in detail before we ever started your project. I was also informed that you stopped your project several times regarding changes and questions which I told you when we meet if you do this it is just impossible to keep these projects on schedule. I am a little set back Glenn that you feel you can vent on line but you cannot touch base with me or any of the contacts that were provided to you before you thought to write these comments so we could try to help where we could with your thoughts. I try to do my best by everyone I meet by explaining everything in detail but to each its own in their thoughts and I wish you the best. Mike Pritzl
