I hired Corey Nixon for a construction project, and the entire experience was excellent. He showed up when he said he would, communicated clearly throughout the job, and the quality of the workmanship exceeded my expectations. It?s obvious he takes pride in what he does and cares about making sure the customer is happy before the job is finished. After seeing the negative comments someone has been posting, I felt it was important to share my actual experience. Based on the work Corey did for me, I have no hesitation recommending him. He was honest, professional, fairly priced, and delivered exactly what he promised. I would definitely hire Corey again and recommend him to anyone looking for a reliable contractor.

ALERT - Corey Nixon and Edward Deangelo are scammers. When they were hired, being recommended by a neighbor, they had 4 5-star reviews. Then they started to collect deposits from people and never showed up to do the work.

Paid half down deposit. Was told he had the permit and would start this past Friday. He will not answer his door or respond to texts now

We gave a deposit which was cash. He told us he was getting the permit and would install the fence the following week he now has ignored us, and when we called the city, it says no permit has been pulled.

We were scammed. Corey Nixon asked for a large deposit upfront (over fifty percent) and immediately cashed it the same day. He dug a few holes on our property and said he would be back the next day to install the fence. Corey NEVER came back. It?s been several weeks of attempted contact. He made some excuses via text the first week and then stopped returning texts and never returned phone calls. We saw some positive reviews on Angi, so we thought he was legit, but he clearly isn?t. He couldn?t even provide us his license when requested, which makes us think he probably doesn?t have one. Save yourself from being his next victim. Don?t do business with this company.

He stole my deposit and is not answering my phone calls. I didn?t even have the money for this protect and borrowed from my kids to get this project done. Sad that they scammed an elderly person.

After receiving my payment, Mr. Nixon obtained the required permit and performed only minimal work by beginning some digging on the property. Since then, the project has come to a standstill. It has been extremely difficult to reach Mr. Nixon. He rarely responds to phone calls or messages, and when I am able to make contact, he repeatedly promises that he will return to complete the project. Unfortunately, those promises have not been kept. On multiple occasions, he has provided dates or assurances that work would resume, but he has failed to appear or complete any meaningful progress. My parents entered into this contract in good faith and fulfilled their financial obligation by paying the required deposit. They are now left with an unfinished project, repeated broken promises and frustration!

He rarely responds to phone calls or messages, and when I can make contact, he repeatedly promises that he will return to complete the project. Unfortunately, those promises have not been kept. On multiple occasions, he has provided dates or assurances that work would resume, but he has failed to appear or make any meaningful progress. As a homeowner, I entered into this contract in good faith and fulfilled my financial obligation by paying the required deposit. In return, I expected timely communication and completion of the contracted work. Instead, I have been left with an unfinished project, repeated broken promises, and significant frustration due to the lack of communication and follow-through. I am requesting that this matter be investigated and that appropriate action be taken to help resolve this issue. I would like CK Modern Construction LLC to either promptly complete the work as agreed or provide an appropriate refund for the work that has not been performed.

Hired them recently to install a Cedar fence and gate for me and they did a wonderful job. Very professional from start to finish and I would definitely recommend!
